I'm on the West Coast here Fub, in the Vancouver area.
Things here are slowing down too. They tell us it's not as bad as elsewhere, but I dunno about that.
The local liquor stores I frequented have certainly noticed a significant drop in income lately.

I think it is slowing everywhere except for Saskatchewan.
The west coast is lovely.
Hope to go visit when the wife retires (hopefully) in 2011. I would like to do a couple weeks in Van and Victoria and then do the Alaskan cruise.
I also want to do the train ,at least through the Rockies.
If I drink again though the only trip I will be taking is to the courthouse. Nothing like an incentive.

A good day to everyone. It's been ridiculously sunny here in DTown for the last few days and the temp is getting addictive. I just know that means more damn snow coming soon! Everyone get ready to watch the States get rowdy tomorrow! I don't even know if the Canadians have St. Pat's day or not, but some around here just get drunk the whole day. Seems like such a waste. May the sun shine upon all y'all, now or real soon. Cheers, people.
Happy St. Patty's day class!
Always a fun day here in my family...both my wife and I from Irish tradition....and guess what that means???
Ya...delicious corned beef and cabbage boiled dinner tonight, and even though I have given up sweets and processed flour products...ya, I'm having soda bread tonight. It's cheat night tonight....so Massey gets his wife's ridiculously perfect soda bread. So exciting when you haven't had on single piece of bread or sweet in a few weeks. mmmmm
Be careful on the roads today, I know around here the booze begins to flow EARLY in the morning on this semi sacred day.....not for me anymore thank God.
Peace today class, and enjoy your boiled meat and vegetables!

Good morning class.
I am up at 7 having got exactly 8 hours sleep. I hope this sleep thing is a truism and if I do it for a while I will start to feel better but I am skeptical.
St Patricks day is just another day for me now. It used to mean bar day with green beer and plenty of it.
Green gingerale is not the same so I will pass on the pop today.
Still working on becoming more tolerant and it isn't going great.
I may have to stick to the class thread here to do it.

My kids live with my ex in White Rock, just south of Vancouver. Gorgeous area. I love visiting with them in that part of the world. And Victoria is one of the prettiest cities I've ever seen.

The closest I have to wearing green is that I have green kleenex tissue and there is a small square were I cut myself shaving although the blood has oozed on it till you can barely see the green.
I am wearing black today to commemorate the death of St. Paddy's day as I used to celebrate it.

WHAT UP CLASS?
I am back with a mission. I am so done with alocohol! I have a great family, great job, and need to stop living my life as a shell of the man, husband, and father I once was. Somebody fill me in on what's been going on. I am ready to be a daily participating member of this class.

It is great to see you back Vivid and C23.
Not a lot happening here. Everyone is trying to stay sober; some more successful than others,
There is a dunce hat in the corner for those that mess up so feel free to put it on if you so wish. Nudge, nudge C23.
A couple of us are on a sugar free break and some of us have taken to an exercise regime.
One of us is on a tolerance and patience kick or he would be yelling at you'se for skipping class.

Ditto C23! Glad to see you are enjoying life.
