Nope STILL all 'bout ME....sometimes when I do something special for myself or get something accomplished that I want to do (for ME)
Other than that its really not from what Ive heard.
Something I have to learn tho' treating myelf well on occasion. It IS ok.

What you said, frst (Scott), helped me. About the still not being able to eat right or clean regularly. I can get really hard on myself for still having difficulty in these areas. It seems the better I feel emotionally, the worse my house looks and I'm not eating three squares a day. So - thanks.

I havent started the dishes but I did clean up some storage tubs that have been in only 1 layer since 2 years ago when I moved into this place. They are now in 3 high stacks and I have an more organized bedroom. There is storage in my basement but due to moisture and the fact that things grow legs down there I dont dare to put anything of value down there. Monetary OR sentimental value.
I have been forced to throw away most of the sentimental "stuff" over the years because of constant moving problems....lol

music
tools
camping and fishing stuff
kitchen stuff
bare essential furniture
Kat stuff !
Clothes- Im actually putting togther a new-er wardrobe as I see stuff around for good prices. People are going to think I give a SH*T again, and what the hell, mebby it will help on the social scene as well. Wooo Woooo

NOW I need help throwing stuff away or giving it to the local charity of my choice.

Hi Sis.

Frst..

It is hard to do good things for ourselves.

I made a commitment a little over a year ago to have my feet and nails done

each month..and my hair colored professionally, not from a box.

It's not a big thing..but it's something.

Just an example.

And.. what Ro said.

I am in a reaaally good mood today.

I do not want to do my chores.

There you go.

Thanks Ro, it kinda makes my day when I can help another alkie or addict since I am both. Cant speak your story for you...not my place. ;-P

I REALLY whished someone had helped me in certain ways. But it isnt all about me and doesnt always happen on MY Time. I may wear my heart on my sleeve but I also dont always bring up shite that I should - probably due to confidence and self esteem junk.

You ALL have helped me - even if I didnt mention it. This is my daily recovery other than meetings up the wazoo ! I still go to two a day if I can.
.

I actually went to Al-Anon last wednesday night. I figure it is a good way to round out my recovery. It is a family disease and my bro has some issues that I can learn to deal w better as does my father. It also helps me understand the family dynamics of an alcoholic dysfunctional family growing up. I am also ACOA I belive.

Its a hell of an eyeopener to hear about the otherside of being an alki/addict.

Every buddy -:ghug:ghug

I was going to ask where Stoney was lurking. Hope the pink cloud didnt turn dark. I know he mentioned that he was putting shoes on to head to the liquor store just the other day.

Write or Call BEFORE you drink or use - it works better that way !
Just what I have been told and believe for myself.

Yeah I've been thinking of how close he came recently, too.
I sent him a message this morning - and nothing.
I hope I'm wrong. I really really hope I'm wrong.

I need a wooden folding chair with slats in the seat and not much substance on the back either. The steam has to circulate.

I just ordered one from IKEA. The closest store is 45 minutes away and I don't think I'm going anytime soon. The s & h is more than the chair !

I'm sure someone that lives here in the house is going to have a fit about it but I don't care .

I looked at Bed Bath and Beyond, Target & Wal-Mart... and Googled. Couldn't find what I need.

* Not referring to the kids either.
