Then we will go visit a friend and her baby.

Then walk the dogs it's lovely and sunny and cold today.

president's day here in the usa, newf. no mail, big sales on mattresses

mr k demolished our dining/living room yesterday trying to install our new ceiling light. he worked for about TEN HOURS and still no light, just holes all over the ceiling and plaster all over the floor and furniture. lol! i KNEW i should have spent the extra $80 to have that stupid thing installed.

i'm gonna do my job hunting and then paint the trim in my kitchen.

oh, and prolly vacumn and dust up mr k's mess when he leaves for work. i HOPE he leaves for work ..............

What are you going to do about the holes in the ceiling? Oh boy! You folks sure do a lot of home renovation projects! My live-in boyfriend and I split two years ago and he had covered all the nail holes in every room - but didn't bother painting afterwards. I got lots of nail holes. And I still haven't painted. Prolly never will. The last time I painted my mother took away my painting privileges and put me in charge of cleanup.

Suits me fine. I'd rather put a fork in my eye than paint.

And that's all I'm gonna say about that.

we'll just have to patch them and then slap up some ceiling paint. i hate the home improvement projects that mr k does - he is so tedious and slow at them. AND he never really finishes. like he'll do ALL the new trim in a room and leave one little section undone. and it sits like that for months, one has been there for THREE YEARS!



my neighbor just came over for coffee break and she was cracking up at our living/dining room. you'd think we were really doing some big thing if you saw all the equipment and mess he has out. i knew i was screwed when i came down yesterday morning and he was dragging out a huge ladder and some spotlight flashlights - wearing a pair of safety goggles and a mouth mask

oh well. it's what it is now.

When I was still drinking I have hundreds of projects and things I wanted to do w life and my time.
Im getting better, but I still cant eat right and clean my house regualrly so that it dosent get overwhelming.
Progress not perfection.
I know if I hadnt gotten sober I would be living on the street in the back of a truck I cant drive. I dont own a cap for it either. I had to ask for ALOT of help and be persistant but eventually it paid off. Not on my time either ! Its still is all about me ya know !

It has been a real humbling experience.
I am not rich for sure, but today I am happy and THAT is the greatest treasure of them all. Come to find out.

hello all. just having a do nothing day. withdrawal anxiety is being helped with the meds from the hospital so once I get thru wd I can have my sober life back. and I want it back, only I want it better than before... if that makes sense.
