A million inches? What would that be in roman soldier's steps then? Or feet and metres?

And thank you so much for spelling "organise" the English (also known as the correct) way .

Now, this year, they have added a leap second to the year. Just like every 4th year they have to add a leap day. The reason they have had to add this second is that the earth is rotating slower than it used to.

So, the countdown could be confusing. Do we have to start at 11 and count down to 0, or, do we start at 10 and count down to -1. Or do we start counting down a second later.

Gosh Wibble. You wanked as much this year as when you were 14 on a school trip? You must be exhausted! No wonder you have needed alcohol to sustain you. In the book "Living Sober", it instructs us to get plenty of rest.

Speaking of rest, after wrestling my way around Tesco, I didn't have the energy to go fun shopping, so came home and snuggled up and watched Sister Act 2 - and I cried soooo much. I'm becoming quite pathetic with my crying. It happened in Deep Impact as well. Cry, cry, cry!

Probably binning all those a/depressants. But it feels like good crying, if you know what I mean.

How did you ever find a picture like that nands? Had me in stitches!

If the earth is rotating slower, do you think it will stop altogether one day?

Scottish people are like that nands. Grumpy! We have to live just below them! (I can slag him off coz he's off carousing with all them Irish lot).

They look very romantic - I didn't think weebles had it in them, but there you go, learn something new all the time! I wonder how they have baby weebles? They are an awkward shape, aren't they?

Pony/Small Horse questions

At what point does a pony become a horse?

Are they just small horses or do they grow into proper horses?

Do you have to be a dwarf to ride a pony?

Shetland Ponies, are they just Scottish Horses?

As you may have guessed i'm a bit of a city boy so have somewhat "limited" equine knowledge

Shetland Ponies, are they just Scottish Horses? Ponies wibs....can't you get that straight and they have migratted all over the world we had 2 at one time. They are even shorter than normal ponies..practical large dogs

As you may have guessed i'm a bit of a city boy so have somewhat "limited" equine knowledge welll..yes it is a little obvious and no excuse at all

LB... that picture of Homer SCARED ME!!!! LOL

I just wanted to pop in here for a minute and tell you all and that I will check in again whenever I can. I'm leaving for the airport in about an hour. I'll pretty much be traveling all day today. I think I LAND in Buffalo around 6:30 and I'm checking a bag, so who knows how long it will take to get out of there and to T's house (hopefully not long). I AM bringing my laptop, though!

I'll be thinking of y'all. Have a great 1st day of 2009.
