Whiners Anonymous Part 17
No, they pay no rent. Actually they don't live in my head anymore, just sneak in for some fun bugging me once in a while. I bored them to death - I took a nap! I just hate those thoughts creeping in and trying to sabotage my recovery.
Now, of course, after a nice nap the thoughts are gone but it'll be hard to sleep tonight.

My whine du jour is winter drivers who think the road conditions are July. 'Scuse me idiot, sometimes intersections are slippery and if you don't slow down as you approach, you could become a sandwich between two transports...or worse...you could hit Queeny who knows how to drive in winter!! Grrrrr.
Those thoughts went away, but I woke up this morning feeling 'sick' again. Glad I have nowhere to be today. I can nap all day if I want. Having hot flashes too, and that crap was over ten years ago.:wtf2

I was awakened this morning hearing, "You look beautiful when you sleep." It was a guy in the program I had scheduled to turn on at 7:00 a.m. But, what a nice way to start the day!
I'm just back from the lobby where the huge tree in the center is beautifully decorated. A group of children from a local Day School came at 10:30 to put on a holiday show. They're all physically and/or mentally challenged...it was very touching to see how enthusiastic and excited they were. I had to fight back the tears as I thought how fortunate I am to have four healthy grandchildren and two healthy great grands.
I think I'm going to concentrate on at least trying to have a "Whine-Free Holiday Season". If I can just catch myself in time to replace a negative with a positive...I might actually be able to do it. It could be a challenge, so wish me luck!

It's really cold.......and I'm fed up today!!! Oh....poor me.....nah...not going down that road in case I eventually end up on that slippery interstate/toll road/motorway of "poor me, pour me a drink" malarkey!
Happy Tuesday to all my dear fellow Whiners

Time for the seasonal whines
Must've been smashed when I put away the decorations last year. Just got out the tree lights & they're E.B.A.R. (Entangled Beyond All Recognition) So I thought I'd just buy more, & googled "How many tree lights needed for a 7' tree?" The answer: "A good rule of thumb is 100 per foot." Say what?!?! That's 700 lights!
I'm not putting up a tree this year cause I don't have one. I do have lights around the top of the playroom walls so have been turning them on. That's about the extent of my decorating this year.
We got our tiny tree this evening...but that's not my whine!
We are having some great weather here, it's nice and cool so I can turn off the AC; save at least $100 on my electric bill and enjoy the breezes and hearing the crickets and tree frogs at night.
Ahhhh... I love the fresh air. But that was until my next door neighbor decided to burn stuff after 11:30 pm last night. I guess he doesn't realize that people are sleeping and that his little fire pit filled up my house with smoke!!!!
I'm lucky the fire extinguisher didn't go off. Don't you think he could figure out which way the wind is blowing??????????????? So my beautiful SE Gulf Stream breeze was ruined.
And...on top of that he woke up poor mr cmc who was sleeping blissfully while I was here on SR breathing in all that smoke...cough, cough......

Good Morning Whiners
Yes, it's cold, yes I have a lot to do today which I'd rather not do, but I'm not going to whine about any of it...instead my whine is
Why do my grey/white hairs seem to multiply themselves hourly? :rotfxko

Thought I wound up in the wrong place just now! It's nice and Christmasy once it loads...but, it takes a while. I'm sure it's my slower than molasses dial-up. Ah...but a dial-up is better than no internet at all, isn't it!?! See...I changed a negative into a positive. IT'S WORKING!!!
