Hi jsml1234.
Yet another sober busy day. Feeling really good lately, haven't been bored like some of my SR friends have posted. The times that I would usually drink are now filled with productive and healthy tasks, things I neglected during the everyday beer slams. Sure I completed the stuff that was essential... work, lawn care, house/car maintenance etc. but just that. I would then drink, eat crappy and veg on the sofa with the remote control of the mother ship in my hand watching life pass me by on the TV.
I'm now back enjoying golf again, my passion of years gone by. And It is rare that I now miss a day at the gym. Kinda weird but I have really been enjoying everyday mundane life things. Only over three months sober but...life IS good.
My loving approach and patience with my spouse has returned and is very noticeable.
I do stay on guard... for the thief comes only to kill, steal and destroy. But, I'm soaking this up if only for right now.
I thank all who post on SR, this place has been a lifesaver and life changer.
See you tomorrow.

Enjoyed a nice day with the spouse. Not sure if it's a mistake or not, took her with me to the driving range at the golf course I have limited membership at and let her hit some balls. The reason I have reservations about her coming to the course with me is that that is jsml1234 time... well needed time for just myself and/or my buddies. We'll see how that plays out.
See you tomorrow jsml1234.

Hi JS.
You seemed a little lonely over here so I thought I would drop in.
I am back to the gym today but that is all I have on the agenda except maybe some online poker.
My legs are better so it must have been poor computer posture.
And life goes on.

Nice to see you on this thread Fubar, you're right, kinda lonely here. Also a little cathartic just posting with little or no interaction.
Hope the poker worked out well for you. I'm playing golf again tomorrow, this time for money. Won't be playing for a lot of dough, just enough to make it interesting and somewhat serious.
Glad to hear your legs are feeling better.

I only play poker for something to do. I usually play 10 cent blind NL and take maybe $5 in each game. It is all free money so I can only lose what I have won in free games.
It is great you can make money playing golf. You must be pretty good at it JS. Maybe if we keep this thread going some more people will show up.
It would be nice to hear from some that have a couple months more than us.

Invitation is on SR, lets get this thread hopping.

Hey Fub the online poker must be a good run for your upcoming Vegas trip.
Haven't been there in years, fun place... good golfing too.

I suffer from indigestion of the mind

OK...today is gonna be a busy one....and i'm having to become more realistic about my scheduling...I've been packing too many things too tight together in "THE SCHEDULE".

Was late to 4 things or more this last 2 days...so time to make some changes...people keep telling me to set realistic goals, but as a sagitarious I find that hard to do...

But being late and missing stuff means I'm negatively impacting others and putting too much stress on myself...both these things lead to a need to excape...not good for sobriety.

I'll nip this in the bud
