Horrible insomnia - wow, you are 8 hours behind us. It's 10.30 am here! I went to bed really late yesterday/this morning - messed up my clock by sleeping during the day too.

Watched Michael Moore's film Sicko. Have you seen it? I used to complain about our national health service, but I won't anymore!

Hello all (don't want to miss anyone!)

Thanks for sharing here as often as you do. With limited time online these days, I'm spending more time reading than posting.

I'd like you to know, though, that I'm thinking of you as I go about my days... Glad we're able to help each other through this!

I hope all my fellow clean-and-sober-strugglers are doing alright on this cloudy Sunday! Remember, it DOES get better!

And for anyone whose struggle seems really hard and hopeless - I was a chronic relapser and if I can stay sober, so can anyone!

Just back from the stables. It's so blustery out there.

I'm hanging around here for the evening, I dont want to drink today! It's the time of day that the cravings start.

How are you all doing.

I know just what you mean Tony, I've had a good day today I've been fairly calm and positive and I think being able to dip in and out of the forums has got a fair bit to do with it, but Im nervous about the next few days too. I have to have my first session with a new councellor, Ive got financial stuff to sort out and I've decided to give aa another shot. I hope keeping busy keeps me sober! Good luck to you in the next few days and please let me know how you are doing you may be able to give me some tips.

Pixy, get a bit of a plan going for this evening. Like something on Telly you can look forward to watching at a certain time. It helps me to know it's not just a long expanse of darkness and chores to get done.

Usually I find something at 9pm to watch, then it's pretty much bed time. Tonight, I've got AA at 8pm and until then I've got to go and find guinea pigs in the dark. They keep getting out the shed!

I hope you find them.

A plan sounds like a good idea. I'm going to read my book as i'm getting a lot from it but wine has been interfering with my reading!!

Morning all, how are you all doing?

I am on day 2 hadn't really planned to stop yesterday, just didn't want to drink.

Going to take today hour by hour if need be. I will be fine while at work, it's the late afternoon and evening thats the prob. Going to do what LB suggested and have a plan. Haven't got one yet but will have by this evening lol

Have a good day or evening depending on where you are in the world.

Day 3. The weekend wasnt too hard cause I was broke. Although if I really wanted to use, that wouldnt stop me. Going to pick up some cash here shortly and thats when it gets tough. I woke this morning promising myself I would NOT use today and also have my day planned out which should help. That includes hitting a meeting or two.

Hey Everyone! :)

Just wanted to pop in and say "hello" to everyone! It's been an extremely busy day and this is the first break I've gotten since I came in and journaled this morning (it's now 5:15pm) . I hope you all had a WONDERFUL Monday! I hope to pop back in later!

Way to go on the progress everyone! STAY STRONG! WE CAN DO THIS! :) :) :)

Is it just me or is anyone else finding it difficult to connect on SR at the moment?
I feel like an outsider and don't know why. It's probibly just how I am feeling at the moment, my perception is all wrong.
Start of Day 3
