Your pictures crack me up nands!!

I shouldn't worry about the God thing boys! It's a "power greater than yourself". You just need to acknowledge that maybe you aren't running the entire show. Just maybe, you need to trust something stronger than you to get you out this hole.

I was brought up to believe in God, but sometimes He seems to be off doing other stuff! And it is the group of people in that AA meeting and people on SR that I have never even met face to face that are the power greater than myself a lot of the time.

There are about 20% atheists in my home group, including the secretary of the meeting. They are staying sober just fine!

I don't have a problem with the relgious aspect.

I'd do anything to make sure I quit booze for good

Apart from glue sniffing that'd be just mental

Hello and welcome to the alternative aa. Today instead of the steps we are all gonna get twatted on bostick!

But I digress.

I tried that already Wibs. You just land up going to NA, looking really silly with a tube of glue stuck to your nose (sigh). Life is hard!!

Bostik = glue
twatted = trashed, hammered, stoned etc....

I'm not sure you can sniff Bostik anymore. You could when I was a kid, along with tipex thinners, marker pens and all sorts of other exciting stationery products!!!

Fix-a-fix was our solvent of choice, back in the day.

I was doing well today. But I was cold, it was drizzling and I was most importantly bored.

Did everything. Got a stash of chocky mooses, pineapple juice and blackcurrent tarts in. Gorged on chilli. Played my tunes extra loud, then when the cravings got too much, switched everything off for a kip. As Morpheus teased me away into the Land of Nod, a friend rang who I'd not seen for yonks and invited me out for an early doors cheeky couple.

I didn't resist.

Day 1 again tomorrow.

(Useless f---ing lump that I am)

Sounds like you got through your day 75% sober. I have been on the edge all day, and only haven't dropped off thru sheer luck!

Well day 10 is almost over, I feel strangely ok. I do seem to be talking a lot about drinking and booze in general with people. Random people as well!!!

I do that all the time Wibble, have to catch myself, I'm in with a customer and then realise I've been chatting about alcohol for the last 10 mins.

For someone that hasn't had a drink in 6 months I sure as hell spend a lot of time thinking about it.

Reckon thats good though, if not drinking is at the front of my mind I'm less liable to get caught out, maybe !!!!

Looking for logic in the madness eh !!!!!!
