Way to go guys! I am SO proud of you, you don't even know and you don't even know how I wish I were there with you.

I have been limiting myself drinking one of little boxes of wine each day (about 2 1/2 glasses) and am getting into a real funk. I have not been posting much cuz I knew I would drink a little box so why bother. But even with a small amount I can see all those old habits coming back. My boss was talking to me yesterday and I was thinking about my little box of wine. Last night I even thought about going to the store and getting another one...but I didn't. Even though I haven't drank that much, my brain is saying give it to me, give it to me!! I was so much sharper when I didn't drink. I was tearing my purse apart yesterday looking for my cell phone and it was in my lap...just stuff like that that drove me crazy before. At least now I know what a difference it makes when I'm not drinking. I got so much more stuff done at home, I wasn't lethargic all the time when I didn't drink. I wasn't always wondering what else I was going to buy at the store and not just my little box of wine, cuz to be that looked worse than buying a whole bottle (thought about that too). I know what is coming, and I don't want to go there again. I was so much happier 2 weeks ago, so I am going to stop again today.

I said (after my first little relapse of 2 glasses) that I wasn't going to count anymore, but I was only kidding myself. I need to count each and every day. It feels like progress to me. And I am going to post here for the next 90 days so I can be with my friends if that's okay with you (you'll be long gone by then!)

Thanks and have a great day!

Day 1 for me.

Hi all,

Eclipse, Stay right here with us. You can do it!

Hay TSH, Keep heading for that 90 day celebration.

I’m Re-roofing my house. Thought I had a couple of people showing up this morning to help me. That didn’t turn out. Hope I can finish before it rains on Saturday.

I was in the middle of doing this post this morning when I slipped a little on the roof and my work laptop went sliding down the roof sheathing, dropped about 12 feet and turned into spare parts on the pavement. It’s ok though, all of the data were backed up and I needed a new laptop anyway.

Amazing the way things work out for the best.

Oh, It's after midnight and that makes this day 41. How cool is that!

Ed

LOL - I was wondering the same thing (about the computer on the roof)! That stinks, though! Glad you weren't hurt, Ed!

I still have a week to go before I am "officially" part of this thread, but I'm reading it for encouragement!

Keep on truckin', people!

It’s amazing, the number of unsecured wireless routers out there seems to be infinite, and I live rural. Roof tops are a great way to pick up free wireless service. Unfortunately, I do go through a lot of computers . My new (used) laptop works great!

Glad your feeling well Eclipse

Hey TSH your official. This is 90 days and under

Well I have most of the roof done and have dried the unfinished part down so it is safe for the rain tomorrow. I used dimensional shingles. They make the house look really good.

As it is raining tomorrow, I’ll have more time to write content for my web sites. Sometimes rain is good.

Sobriety is cool,

Ed

Wow Ed, you're good. I can just picture you up there sun, rain, snow and sleet loggin into SR!

Good luck finishing the roof. My husband and father-in-law put a metal roof on our cabin this summer and it was so steep that I couldn't watch...all I could envision is a piece of metal falling and slicing someone's head off! I hope you are careful! Don't get up there in the rain!

I tried to download a picture of a guy standing on his roof, but I am somewhat technologically compromised!

Hope all is well TSH!

Hi all,

Working on day 42

It’s raining and the house is dry--- That’s a real good way to start a Saturday morning!

I’m the only one in the house this morning. Can’t be alone right now, so I’m headed for the local library to catch up on the local news and mix it up with all of those strange non-alcohol addicted people.

Have a great day all

Ed
