Had my fourth (and final??) PT session today. Lady said that my insurance had only approved four visits. That's a little over a week and they expect I'll be cured now?

Tomorrow I may be brave and attempt to take a shower. I have some clean clothes in the laundry basket and will try to get myself clean finally.

Least, remember we chatted about you checking to see if your insurance would cover one of the medical alert buttons you can wear? I'm loving mine and I know it works because the other day, I must have accidentally pressed the button and they came over the unit asking if I needed help.

Since you have the same issues with walking and balance I do, I think it would be good for you to check to see if your plan covers it. It really gives me some peace of mind and I can wear mine in the shower.

Suki, thanks for reminding me. I will call my insurance company Monday (have to call them anyway) and ask if that's covered and how I'd go about getting one if it is.

Today the overall pain is a bit less but my feet feel awful, numb and painful. Whatever is causing this, it's affecting my feet and my hips the worst.

And the awful side effects from the norco are still bothering me. Overall pain not as bad but for my feet! Feels like I'm walking with someone else's feet.

I feel for you on all counts, I had foot pain for a long time, it is so exhausting . I hope there is something your doctor can give you for this.

What they were giving me was norco and I asked the NP to get me off of it. So she prescribed clonidine for any w/d I might have. Don't know how severe they could be cause I was only taking them for about a month. So I'm hoping that I wasn't truly 'dependent' on them. Besides, they hardly touched the pain.

I'm hoping the caudal block the pain doctor is doing on the 24th solves the problem and gets rid of the pain.

Out of all this pain and discomfort, I'm grateful for one thing - I don't drink. Just think of how much worse it would be if I were drinking...

Least,

I am so sorry you are still dealing with this pain. I really hope the procedure is successful. I know I’ve shared my husband had back surgery this past summer after dealing with similar pain for a few years. Sending you so much love, and hoping for pain to be gone permanently soon!

❤️Delilah

Pain hasn't been as bad the last few days, other than my feet being numb and painful. But the other pain is less. The nasty side effect of opioids is still making itself known. I'll be glad when my digestive system is back to normal again.

Prayers for you Least - I read this the other day - I liked it - Peace is something many of us seek.
Deep peace, a soft white dove to You;
Deep peace, a quiet rain to you;
Deep peace, an ebbing wave to you!
Deep peace, red wind of the east from you;
Deep peace, grey wind of the west to You;
Deep peace, dark wind of the north from you;
Deep peace, blue wind of the south to you!
Deep peace, pure red of the flame to you;
Deep peace, pure white of the moon to you;
Deep peace, pure green of the grass to you;
Deep peace, pure brown of the earth to you;
Deep peace, pure grey of the dew to you,
Deep peace, pure blue of the sky to you!
Deep peace of the running wave to you,
Deep peace of the flowing air to you,
Deep peace of the quiet earth to you,
Deep peace of the sleeping stones to you!
Deep peace of the Yellow Shepherd to you,

Deep peace of the Wandering Shepherdess to you,
Deep peace of the Flock of Stars to you,
Deep peace from the Son of Peace to you,
Deep peace from the heart of Mary to you,
And from Briget of the Mantle
Deep peace, deep peace!

Woke up to my feet being very numb and painful and hard to walk on. Feels like I'm walking on someone else's feet. Will be so glad when the 24th gets here.

My procedure is one week from today. I can hardly wait. Feet are numb and painful all the time. Digestive trouble is still there. I am hoping that goes away soon as it's driving me nuts.

Got approved for the Passport program (a Medicaid program). One of the many benefits is that I'll get a medic alert button to wear. So that will be nice to have.

Also lots of help like home health aide visits (if they can find HHA, there's a shortage of them) and other assistance like help with cleaning and shopping. This will help me a lot. I just hope that after my procedure I won't have need of such services.

I hope the home care visits will lift your spirits least. I can’t imagine living alone, even with friends and relatives to help out, but there’s nothing like live-in companionship and support.

Have you tried soaking your feet in epsom salts?
