No desire

I don't know what is wrong. I have no desire to do anything. I basically just go for walks.
I do love my church that I go to now so that is my positive. As for housework or a relationship with my husband, I have no desire for anything.
I don't see a counselor due to the cost and have been there multiple times.
My self esteem is very low. I don't like my looks, I am not outgoing, money is tight so we don't do anything.

Could you see a professional to determine if you are depressed? That's what it sounds like to me, and I've been there and done that.

What you share- to me (if it was me) Elliemae, is depression. Where everything seems bland, no motivation to do anything. I suggest seeing your GP. I have major depression, and the antidepressant does not cure my depression, but it gives me a level playing field, so to speak. It can be exhausting going to the mailbox. Support to you.

this! I'm on antiD's, sertraline (Zoloft), and they keep me able to function and live with myself. My mood doesn't get so bleak and I can feel hope.

I pray you can find the help you need. Life need not be joyless and dull.

I was on them for a week or so many years ago. Didn't like the feeling. I was also worried about weight gain because I know others on them and they plumped up on them.

Antidepressants have changed in the last few years. And yes- weight gain can be a side effect....but over time, this can be addressed (says he who is doing this now)

Prayers to you, love. I hope you find your answers.
Just a word about the anti depressants, they can take as much as 6 weeks to work and get into your system. I hope you can find some peace.
