Quetiapine
 

Just wondered if anyone has had experience of quetiapine, for cyclothymia disorder.
I really would value your opinions/ experiences.

Yes- I don't know that my dr gave me that specific dx but it is one of the two sleep meds she has had me on for the entirety of my sobriety (I think). That's almost 3.5 yr.

I do not take it all the time - I have mainly because of the anti-anxiety component it contains along with the sleep part - it causes me pretty extreme night sweats at a full pill or two dose that is prescribed. So I sometimes take a "bite" (they are not scoreable pills) to try for about 1/3-1/2 a pill on a night I really need to sleep. Sometimes that is helpful.

I know plenty of people who use it and hear good things - hopefully it will be useful for you.

My friend had a terrible allergy to quetiapine, I myself did not accept.
