Boredom and loneliness when sick.
 

I feel so bored and lonely when I’m sick. I’ve finally advanced to knowing it won’t last forever. I don’t wish I had a nursemaid or anything. I just noticed my depression really plays up when I’m sick because I don’t feel like distracting with tv or reading. I don’t know why I’m posting, maybe so I can laugh at myself later.

I know what you mean! I had pneumonia a few years ago and was never so sick in my life. I was lucky I was able to sit at my computer and amuse myself or I would have gone mad. :dee

I'm not very good at relaxing to recuperate, it's more in my nature to get outdoors to soak up some sun and fresh air.

When I stopped drinking I figured there would be lots of emotions but one I wasn't prepared for was boredom. And getting sick was super boring. Hang in there, it gets better.

Omg yes. Boredom with a capital B.
I also have severe depression do I have no hobbies but drinking.
We can do it. Never ever give up.

Yes I agree! A day or two of being alone for me is healthy. Outside of that, it's good for me to have contact.
