Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
My therapist has recommended I learn DBT. I got the workbook and am starting to read it. I'm also doing some research around the internet.
Has anyone done DBT? Would anyone like to work on it with me?

It's used to help you cope with overwhelming emotions. It's about mindfulness, distress tolerance, and effective communication. It teaches you different tools for all that. I've heard a lot of positive things about it.
It was as created to treat people with chronic self harm and suicidal behavior. Then they found that it's good for anyone who has a hard time regulating their emotions.

The book is called The Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Workbook by Matthew McKay, Jeffrey Wood, and Jeffrey Brantley. I got it from Amazon, and I think most major bookstores probably carry it.
