I finally made my bed (depression)

I have been so depressed lately I have just been sleeping on the bare mattress with no duvet cover. Finally got around to making my bed. Least I can be depressed in comfort now! haha

Just thought I would share my mini achievement!

Hello Criostail,
Great Post, Great Accomplishment ... and I mean that sincerely.

In my early days of being committed to actually working the Sobriety Program (after the repeated failures to try and keep running on my failed Self-Will-Run-Riot), it was so bad inside, just getting up and taking one step to the next with the insanity Screaming Bloody Murder, ...was horrendous.

So, I can relate, and congratulate, your accomplishment, and especially being able to savor the personal enhancement.

To feel clean...change- fresh. A shower, washing the dishes- shopping. I got depression, I know that cycle all too well. Good for you. Well done!

Those seemingly minor achievements are actually huge accomplishments when we struggle with depression and anxiety. Welcome!

I'm really glad to hear this, ds.

I have been depression free for a very long time.

It's easy to forget how hellish it can be.

Even the "little things" are huge accomplishments when you're depressed. I hope you've continued to be able to take steps to make yourself more comfortable.

For me, taking a shower is so hard, but feeling clean makes a huge difference. Being depressed makes me feel dirty and disgusting anyway. I have a hard time showering when I'm hypomanic too (I'm bipolar), I just have things to do that are WAY more important!

Taking care of yourself when you're sick is so hard, but it's the most important thing. I hope you are doing okay.
