Anyone noticed?

Anyone noticed improvements in the downstairs department when sober for a while?

I accidentally posted this in the newcomers forum

This is a small forum, and it's a weekend - you might have to wait a day or two for replies

What do you mean by improvements? libido?

Maybe its just stress but for the last month or two the morning awakening doesn't seem to be happening, it's not an ego thing or anything just concerning me a tad bit.

wait til you hit 50

Seriously tho, I think you've had a lot on your mind, been very anxious, going through withdrawal...

I drank for years - it took a while for me to feel Ok again.

I'm sure this is not the best things are going to get - but if you're concerned you can always see your Dr

31 and already going downhill lol

But yeah I think it's stress and anxiety, I have to remind myself that it's only been 3 weeks without booze, things will take time to even out.

Ain't that the truth!

Please, give it time, especially if you're dealing with stress and anxiety on top of recovery. There are many more things to focus on now and when your libido and drive does return it'll be worth the wait.

I dont have a wife and sex outside of marriage is against my faith but when im having alone times it's just difficult to achieve, and it actually makes me anxious, sorry to be TOO graphic.

I hope and think in time this will level out!

Congrats on your newly found sobriety.

I got sober when I was 31 years old, too.

Look at it this way Chilled - if we're right everything will be ok - if we're not right you can see a Dr and everything will be ok

stop worrying man

I'm in my early 60s and drank most of my adult life. I had problems "down there" when I drank. I'm diabetic too. Been sober a few months. Going on a vacation soon. Wife always looks forward to some alone time with me, I asked my Dr for 3 viagra. Will let you know lol

50s here.

My libido has been seriously depressed while drinking for the last 5 years or so.

About when I hit 60 days, I woke up "down there." Actually "down there" is more like leaping out of bed and starting to yodel, loudly.

Hopefully you're having a similar experience now Chilldice.

OK. I'll just ask this in this topic. Anyone else have a problem with climax? What used to be like a geyser now just kinda flows out. Sorry for the bluntness but this is a mens only forum.

Not really sure Bob apart from a general decrease due to age according to folks like Kinsey - have you considered seeing a Dr?

My downstairs department goes really crazy already during withdrawals, which is odd. When i am in bed sweating, tired and feeling really wasted and unwell, 1-2 days into withdrawals, my little fellow seems totally unconcerned with the state of the rest of my body, and mind, and is totally fit even more than normal.

Consider a period of "no fap"

Consider the book "the multiorgasmic man"

The only time I've had problems per se is due to the worst and most overrated drug in the world: cocaine. The cruelest paradox is it fills you full of desire but leaves you dead as a snake. Worst drug ever.

Apart from that I'm like clockwork.

I'm 51 and haven't had any issues, but the frequency of intimacy has decreased.

Props for being open. Summit, alone time and geyser gave me a chuckle!
