I'm one as well, and was curious about this as well.

I can say that every Lodge I have visited/been a part of was dry/generally dry.

As others have said, the tried and true advice for those seeking info/joining is "to be one, ask one". And it isn't religious, or Christian. IMHO, it is VERY close to being in an AA meeting- They all have a HP, but one 'as they see it themselves". Period.

I am also one. Joined when I was 24. Beat decision of my life. I used to love going to meetings. I haven't been to one in a while since I moved. I need to get back into it. Just gotta find the lodge around the area. Lol

I was asked to be one i did all skills a 32 degree showed me knot book knowledge skill of the trade the love for Masons runs close to my heart I was showed the hand shake i never stopped studying to be one

There were two people that would take me to meetings answer phone calls and encourage me and take me to meetings .Only two left from many that I wore out from habitual relapsing for five years they were both Masons. Thanks !!!

I can't do much of anything with my hands.

Which is odd because I come from a family of electricians.

I went to a funeral a couple of months ago where the local lodge performed the Masonic funeral ritual from memory.

It was quite elegant.

I've been a Mason for 15 years, was WM in 2011. I confer all 3 degrees in Blue Lodge. Many of which were done with a couple beers of flask of whiskey in my before heading to Lodge. I do miss my Brothers, but my attendance has been mostly non-existent since my divorce and my custody arrangement always fell on meeting nights. But the kiddo comes first.
