Gilmer brought other people out. And she had tricks to do it. Do you know... she stalked people on SR! She scoured the forums to learn about the people she thought might need her particular way of helping -- not necessarily their facts, but what they liked and responded to. Her ability to connect was the fruit of effort, as well as some magic. I know she did her homework on me thoroughly. A+ Gilmer.

It's painful to know that Kathy is petting Jack now. I miss them both so much. It's hard to come to grips with the finality of it. At least it's hard for me.

I also miss Kathy's quick wit.

It's hard to feel alone. Two sides: we're each fundamentally alone in our souls, or we're all connected. I sometimes feel the first, but I know the second -- the old "life is a tapestry" bit. Weaving back into history, and forward, and side to side. I think we're still connected to Gilmer -- and Jack -- even though we can't see them. They're on the other side of the rug!

Well said, Courage. I miss Kathy and Jack both and like to think of them together...maybe with my Toby trailing behind.

She is one of those people who brought a gift into our lives that nobody else could. And smiles, lordy that gal could make me smile.

I often ask Gilly (when life gets a bit hard) to 'put a good word' in for me.

I do miss her so much. I think I am still grieving for her. Sometimes I just don't even want to post because I know she's not going to be there. The thing I loved so much about her was that she was loyal and such a faithfully good friend. She always took the time to answer and write PMs, I'm still saving a bunch from her. Faithful, loyal friends are so hard to find and I think, besides that she went too early, was what I loved in her so much. I've never met anyone as kind, yet sincere and down to earth as she was. Loveliest person ever.
God bless Kathy, I know she is in your hands, safe and sound. ♥♥♥

Gilmer had a gift. It was connecting.

She made you feel like you were the most important person in the world & she truly cared. She helped me through hard moments and put things into perspective. Never judgemental.

She made me feel my worth . She contacted me through messages when I was Down. She always knew.

We sent each other cards from the other sides of the ocean. I love her and miss her dearly xxx
