I'm glad to see that you're flying high right now Windy. Great work! Make sure you stay vigilant though, as rationalizing smoking is a very easy thing to do once significant clean time has accumulated. Always remember that if you've managed a bunch of days clean, you can always manage another.

Day 111 sober
still the early days and every new 5 days or week still feels like a victory I have to keep track of. I know some say to stop counting days and just BE sober but for me counting days helps a lot with motivation and feeling empowered about it.

Congratulations Windy! I do not count every day or every week, but I am aware that I am living a different life than before on every single day. Maybe it's different for others, but that's the way it's going for me. Do what works for you!
Congrats Windy! That is huge!
Count days if that works for you. I compare it to a miser with gold and that nest egg is very, very important to you. Save your days and guard them wisely.
I recently said on another thread; you'll find we are all quite alike but yet have different ways of getting and remaining clean.
I counted days the first year and then it dropped to months. Now that sober is becoming my new normal, I'll mark it like a birthday.
Keep up the good work. It just keeps getting better and better.

here on day 141 sober I have been starting to get those thoughts of "oh I can smoke a little now" and also lots of dreams about smoking, thinking about it more etc. Then I went and read my early days on this post and how much of a struggle it was- and also how chaotic things feel when I am smoking- and it eased the cravings some. It is easy for me to think I can smoke occasionally but in reality it would throw me back into the chaos of addiction.
Still working on health issues-- improvement since I started a new thing but still a way to go.
