Do you still have a problem if you still smoke but don't drink?
I've been alcohol-free since 8/3/17, but for some reason, I became a stoner for three weeks in January. I went to the dispensary with the intention of buying a CBD vape cartridge for arthritis pain relief and the lady convinced me to buy a CBD/THC hybrid vape cartridge cause they were out of the CBD. I want to stay away from anything psychoactive, but I caved to pressure. It helped with the pain but I didn't like the next day spaciness I felt. I just felt generally "checked out" and not just when I was high. Eventually, my main motivation for vaping was to get high and not for pain relief.
Cait - I may steal your signature line to differentiate my alcohol and marijuana sobriety. I only smoked for three weeks, but I still feel weird saying I've been sober for 7 months when I had that little detour.

Welcome leanabeana!
I was smoking while I was drinking, but it really ramped up after quitting alcohol. An addict is an addict, no matter what our drug of choice is.
I, too, felt guilty smoking after quitting booze and calling myself sober. It was one of the driving factors to getting clean all together.
It may take a while before the spaciness wears off. It was weeks if not a couple months for my mental clarity to come back.
