Something I’ve never figured out
I’ve always wondered this- as a kid of 16, I began to smoke. Loved it, no problems
About a year later I had a rapid heartbeat reaction- really bad
After that, every time I did it, the heartthing happened
Psychosomatic? I just don’t think so
It was too...mechanical
Really fast and hard....terrifying
Now if I had an allergy it seems like it would’ve always done that but for the first year never an inkling of it
This is something that baffles me 36 years later

I felt like it sometimes. To me, it seems like an anxiety crisis, an "almost panic attack" kind of thing. Emotional and physical altogether. After all, emotions are chemicals reactions in the brain, and the brain controls the heart. Pot obviously messes up that chemic. A higher heart rate is a classic effect of weed (and a very dangerous one, IMO).
The fact that in the first year you felt ok and then you started having these issues, probably is related to a change or reaction in the cannabinoid receptors in the brain.
I would not focus on that, though. The intuitive solution is simply quitting the substance that is triggering these unwanted effects in the body and mind.

welcome aboard Tired
I can't answer your question exactly but after 30 years of smoking turns out I have a tachycardia issue.
It's until control now with meds but it used to get up to 120-140 bpm.
