Great news Paco, thanks for sharing it with us. To throw in something myself: yesterday was 16 months without weed for me. I had my doubts earlier this year but that's passed and I've been feeling great lately. I hope the same goes for everyone on this board. |
How's everyone doing lately? We've had some newcomers but I haven't heard from them in a while. I hope everybody is still on board. Have a good weekend all. |

Still a struggle as I still am in contact with people who are daily smokers. I have to be strong and should be able to say no even when they smoke in front of me. Yet that didn’t happen so I am working on meeting new friends that don’t smoke around me. |
Thanks for checking in! Being around people who smoke must be a hard thing. I hope you can turn your day 5 into many more sober days :) |
Yeah I had to make new friends Chrissy - it was hard but I'm glad I did, looking back. D |
Being around smokers is hard! I am still around a smoker but I can hardly dump my sister! It just takes commitment and a firm belief that you can do this. It is possible. |
DAY0 i hope its ok for me to join |

DAY0 i hope its ok for me to join I read a post in the newcomer section that helped me. They were talking about alcohol but I can apply it to Pot. I have to want to STOP smoking pot more than I WANT to smoke it. I am not there yet. I just know I cannot continue down the same path. Welcome. |
Welcome River :) D |
"I have to want to STOP smoking pot more than I WANT to smoke it." I guess the clincher with me was that it was making me more miserable than it was making me happy. So what was the point? |
Welcome aboard River! |

I'm not proud to say that in the last weekend I almost relapsed. I was really tempted. In this past one year and a half, it was the very first time I even considered smoking. I'm really disapointed, I thought I had shut up my AV for good. I guess that's why people say we will have to be forever humble and vigilant. |
Don't be too hard on yourself. Look at it as a wake up call. You didn't smoke and that's what counts. I am curious though, what happened exactly? What triggered it? |
Paco the important thing is you didn't relapse. You stared the desire down and won - thats a great victory :) D |

I was tempted a couple of times in my first year but each time it got easier to say nah - I don't need that. D |
I went again to the beach house and the joint was there. This time I just threw it away. End of story. |
That's a great end to the story Paco :) D |
