Insomnia - Sleep Starts

Driving me insane.. I've been up almost 3 straight days with no sleep, crippling headache as a result. Also twitching frequently just as I am going to sleep. Going on Day 3, horrible.

Tried all the remedies I could read.

If you are new to recovery it might take some time before normal sleep patterns return, my experience was that it took a few weeks to get any sleep at all and consulting with my doctor helped to get me on some medications too. Nowadays I use lavender oil every night, it helps immensely but that's just what's currently working for me. I hope you get some peaceful and restful sleep soon.

You should be right about the point that things get better fairly quickly for you. At least the sleep and physical part. If you just tough it out for maybe a day more, you will find soon that you sleep deeper and better than you did when drinking. While you may feel worn out, get some brisk exercise if possible. This will also help getting your system back to normal. The first few days were really tough for me and for better or worse I have gone through the first few days a few times. (not for quite some time however) Hang in there.

Thanks for the encouraging words, I was able to get some sleep tonight after taking some Benadryl and drinking a soothing tea. The sleep starts are the most worrisome, and frankly a wake-up call as I've never had these after many benders in my life. Last night I was tempted @1AM to get a pint of Vodka to knock me out but fortunately stayed the course. Feel better today. No craving.

For me, any insomnia I have ever experienced has been a symptom of depression.

If I stay on my AD's, I don't have insomnia.

It's that simple.

I hope the OP gets to the bottom of his or her sleep problems.

I suspect that help is out there to be had, so to speak.

Try this remedy. Note that you have to use an organic banana.
