I have this one ex... was with him for 4 years. He's an alcoholic, we had a bad break up. He cheated on me with one of his coworkers, blamed everything on me.

He keeps showing up in my dreams.

Being a part of a recovery program for the last 12 years has put the past in my rearview mirror, I've forgiven myself for broken relationships (for the most part) so they're not on my mind nor in my dreams. It's taken some counseling and working a 12-Step program to bring me peace with my past, and most nights I sleep well too.

I just had it happen the other night & it was very emotional when I woke up

When I was asleep the dream didn't seem to be real long. Her & I were somewhere peaceful & quiet. I don't know where we were. Where ever we were it was non-descript. Her & I were sitting closely together. I whispered in her ear "I love you" she whispered in my ear "I love you" Then I woke up. I had real tears over it.

My addict & I are no contact pretty much since beginning of June.

I dream of her fairly often. They have never been nightmares always good dreams which leave me upset when I wake up.

Sorry HardLessons, that sounds... heartbreaking.

I'm hoping these dreams disappear with time. I just find it a nuisance.
