Tylenol PM

Tonight is going to be my first night not drinking in a while. I'm wondering if it is okay to use Tylenol PM during the initial stages of quitting to help me sleep?

Note: I have no history of drug abuse, other than alcohol.

Sure. It's just 500mg tylenol and 25mg benadryl. Cheaper to buy them separately as generics.

Your liver might be happier if you just took 50mg benadryl and skipped the tylenol.

Do you know you're going to have trouble sleeping someguy or are you just scared of the possibility?

I know for a fact there is no possibility of me sleeping tonight, without some type of sleep aid. I was just asking because I didn't want to go from one form of chemical dependency to another.

everybody's body is different that's why no one can give any advice on this.

For me if I take a tylenol PM I'm out and really out and next morning I can't wake up, it's worse than a hang over so you just got to get a bonified DR to give you that advice.

For sleeping I'm just saying as weird as it might sound (in order to get the demons out of my head)

I say to myself I'm going to the video store and picking out a movie ..or could be to the grocery store and buying fruits or vegtables..Then I have to pick one starting with A and try to go to Z in alphabetical order.

You never know..it works a lot of times because it can be "exauhsting" getting to Z.

If you feel this is likely to be a long term problem I'd really suggest you see your Dr.
