I've been thinking of you, my friend and hope that the cloak of grief is a little lighter today. Jason's spirit and precious memories of him live on. May those memories bring you comfort.

Love and prayers - Anne Marie

I got it in my head just before my son's last birthday, that I'd like an infinity necklace to wear in remembrance. For those that don't know, his last poem (that I know of) was titled "Infinity". I looked online and the only ones I could find were either really expensive or not too pretty. A week ago, my niece had a jewelry party and as I looked thru the book, the first page I turned to had a beautiful silver infinity necklace. I bought it and love it. I was talking to my mom this morning and she told me she is going to buy one for herself, and also for my youngest sis and both my nieces. She feels as I do and loves the sentiment of wearing something that reminds us of the one who is no longer with us.

Something else I read recently on a survivor website, that I found comforting:

"I was attending our local suicide survivor support group and the group leader said something I found quite compelling and comforting.

There are 780,000 suicide attempts in the U.S. each year, but only 31,000 are completed. That is only 4%. God gives us all free will, but He is always in control. Since there are so many unsuccessful suicide attempts, she feels God only takes those home to be with him when He feels it is their time. Not that God leads them down the path of suicide, but that He did decide to take the hand of our loved ones when He heard them call."

love and light ~

I spent today in reflection, as always remembering my Jason. Today marks 5 long years since he left us and it seems incomprehensible that so much time has passed and yet I can still see his smile, feel his hug, hear his voice in my head. It almost seems like yesterday and I hope I don't ever ever lose that. The anniversary is still a hard day for me, although time has softened the pain. We lost Jason's dog, our beloved Boss, in September and although I miss him terribly, find comfort in thinking of my boy and his dog reunited again ... both happy and whole and free.

I haven't been here in a very long time, but I will never forget the caring and support and all the beautiful people here who lifted me up ... bless you all.

much love ~

deedee and rusty,

Hugs and love to you both. You've experienced so much pain, and you share so much love and understanding to others who suffer inexplicable losses. I'm glad you're here, though not glad for what brought you....

Ten years today since I lost my son ... when I would not have thought I could survive one day. This anniversary has been a tough one and I'm forever grateful for all the hands and hearts that supported me along the way. To my Jason ~ still loved, always remembered, forever missed. I wish you were here.
