Grateful Today
Grateful Today
I am grateful for navigating back to this place which gives me inspiration and hope and helps me to identify and feel compassion for others.
I am grateful for the signs in my life that give me the comfort of knowing that the decisions I make with God are the best for me right now.
I am grateful for the people in my life, who always say and do the right thing at the right time, whether or not I believe it is right at the moment.
I am grateful to be able to live alone for the first time and to have the opportunity to reflect and be introspective without interruption.
I am grateful for my cat, who makes me laugh!

Today I am grateful for the support of all people in recovery.
I am grateful for the authenticity of those people. I have never met anyone more authentic than the folks I have met in AA. I have never met anyone more in tune with their bodies, minds and souls -- even if that means knowing that their minds can't be trusted!
I am grateful for the sunshine after a weekend of rain.
I am grateful for a supportive work environment.
I am grateful for my friend Gary, who always keeps his sense of humor and helps me to keep mine.
Most of all, I am grateful for the continuing journey of recovery

A Grateful Newcomer
Hello. My name is Mark and I'm an Alcoholic.
I'm grateful that the helping hand of AA is always there. For if it wasn't for AA I wouldn't be here. For that I'm also thankful. For for One Day At A Time I will do my part to be there for the next suffering alcoholic.
I don't know what else to say. This is my first day on SR. While this isn't my first sober day (my last drink was on October 25, 2003) I would like in some small way to help carry the message. It's tougher now being I lost my license and can't get to meetings as often as I like.
Well, I'm grateful SR is here and its members are populating its various threads.
May your Higher Power bless you all in Recovery.

I am grateful today for the strength and courage to take action in my life.
I am grateful for the comfort that comes with taking action.
I am grateful for the anxiety and depression that alerts me to a bigger problem that I'm not dealing with.
I am grateful for the support of friends in recovery who keep me honest.
I am grateful for the support of long distance SR friends in recovery who make me think!
