Hey, L, Mike, and Arura!! Thank you for the suggestion, Arura, too!!

I am grateful for another good night's sleep even being on call. The pager only went off once last night and that was about 8 or 9 o' clock. I even got through a whole meeting without it going off! I think that's a first.

I am also grateful that I got all my contractually-obligated meetings in for the month of May. I "have to" go to three meetings a week which I didn't exactly do, but I got in twelve through the month, so I guess that's OK.

Running late here. Have to go now. Have a great day, all!!
Love and hugs,
Eddie

I am going to count how many meetings I go to this month just to see on average how many I get to. I know it is a lot. Thanks for the idea Eddie.
I am grateful for my house. I really love living here.

You're welcome, L!! I have to actually keep a log sheet of the meetings I go to.

I am grateful to have good health insurance that helps pay for my prescriptions. Lord knows I could not afford them all without it.

I am also grateful that I can tan on my lunch hour at a place across the street from work. It's some good quiet "me-time" in the middle of my busy days.

Love and hugs,
Eddie

I am so grateful for Alka-Seltzer! I woke up with a belly-ache this morning and the ole "plop-plop-fizz-fizz" fixed me right up!

AND...my other Midnight Moon dahlia was up this morning, too!

Have to get gone to work now. Have a great Friday (or Saturday as the case may be)!!
Love and hugs,
Eddie

eddie glad your tummy is better.

Welcome Aura!
Good morning to Eddie, Kevin, Richie and Mike!!!! I hope you all have a super weekend.
I am grateful this morning for SR and my kids and my friends. I am grateful that I am able to see my problems clearly and not fall into the grips of self-pity.

I am in a bit of strife at work as I lost my temper, not sure what will happen, have to wait until Tuesday to find out, but I am grateful for this program which taught me how to make amends, how to recognise what happened and how to had over my aniexty (again and again!).

Hi Everyone

Kevin isn't amazing that we are able to see things now. I know that I am able to recognize things a lot better now myself.

Today I am grateful for the friends that I have met in recovery. Just came back from a wonderful BBQ with roughly 40 people in recovery and had a wonderful time.
It was a little weird at first being at a function like this without any booze since I have never experienced a non drinking BBQ, but had a wonderful time.

I am also grateful for being sober for 5 months and 3 days.

Have a great evening everyone and enjoy your weekend

Hey, Arura, L, Mike, and Kevin!! CONGRATULATIONS on 5 months plus, Mike!!! Sorry I've been absent for a little while. Been trying to catch up on some paperwork and stuff.

I am grateful that I called my "normie" friend Julie last night for the first time in many months. She came over and we watched Donnie Darko yet again. It was really good to do something a little different for once.

And I'm grateful that we're going to get back to looking at houses this afternoon. Being on call totally ruined that chance last weekend. I really want to get moving on this house-buying business soon.

Have to get cleaned up for a meeting now. Have a great day/night, y'all!!
Love and hugs,
Eddie

Good Morning Eddie, Richie, Kevin and Mike!
Mike I am so glad you are learning to have sober fun! I can remember when I was about 25 and I was seriously considering getting clean and sober. I thought to myself, "recovery program or a fun life." I chose the "fun" life and it was so not fun. lol I am grateful today that I know how much fun having a "real" life can be without any drugs or alcohol.
Kevin, sorry about your work thing. I hope everything turns out OK.
Eddie, good luck house hunting.

Thank you, L!!

I am grateful that I found a frozen pizza with a whole wheat crust at the grocery store. I'm actually having pizza for supper, not just scraping off the toppings and eating them. LOL.

And grateful that I did go to the gym and work out this afternoon, although it was a pretty skimpy session. I didn't want to go and I was even sitting in the gym parking lot thinking about turning around and going home, but I'm glad I made myself go in and do it.

Hope everyone has a good Sunday night and that everything is OK at your job, Kevin!!

Love and hugs,
Eddie

Good Evening Everyone

I hope you all had a good weekend

Today I am grateful for spending another wonderful weekend with my son, and for being able to do it sober.
I am also grateful for being able to stop and think at times before reacting, it sure saves a lot of grief. Too bad I can't do it all the time though lol

Hey, Mike and Kevin!!

I am grateful that I managed to get off work early today. I needed a break even after the weekend.

And I am very grateful that I finally shaved my legs! I hate to say this, but it had been months. My husband was getting frustrated with my "winter coat." Now I can show off my tan a bit more.

Have to hit the hay now.
Love and hugs,
Eddie

Thanks for sharing Eddie

Tonight I am grateful for the meeting I just came back from. It was a cake night. It always gives me hope that one day at a time, I will get mine.

woo hoo eddie

I am grateful to be heading off to a meeting and that my job is safe in fact not only safe the meeting was just a ctach up and to say I was doing a great job. I am grateful for the lesson I learned, just stay in the present and get on with it.
