learning to listen
I am grateful for this message board and the willingness of others to share about overcoming personal struggle and finding ways to not only cope but thrive every day.
I am thankful I am learning how to listen to myself and become aware of the conflicts that I would get worked up about, but am learning to respond to in positive, calmer and more self assured ways.
And I am thankful that I am not in this struggle alone. That's the most freeing part. A kind word, a sincere prayer, a helping hand. It makes a world of difference. Even though I may not be there yet, I believe with God's help, the self work I am doing and the support of this network of friends, that it can be done and I am encouraged that it has been done successfully every day.
I am grateful!
