Reflection on my anniversary
Today I am grateful for . . .
waking up this morning sober and with the spiritual connection to ask my higher power to guide and help me throughout the day,
realizing that this morning marks six years of sobriety, each granted one day at a time,
friends who will celebrate this milestone with me tonight, both sober and earthling,
relations with my family that, while occasionally strained, are loving,
financial security (never thought that one would come by),
a bright future career-wise and a job I love,
marketable skills, especially the ability and enjoyment of learning new things,
solid physical health given to me through a combination of good medical and self care,
strong coffee,
and, very importantly,
the ability to recognize and appreciate each of these blessings in my life!
