NL - Nice work, going to 2 meetings.
Jack - Hope you enjoyed your lunch Lunching in London - sounds lovely.
Fearless - What a relief when things turn out better than expected - glad your son is being reasonable.
Grateful we haven't lost power yet due to high winds. It's only 6F.
Grateful at least the sun is shining.
Grateful we're having pizza for dinner, though I shouldn't. Maybe I'll just have one slice. (Who am I kidding? )
Grateful for all of us gathered here.

Morning 🌞

Thoughts to those suffering through storms, both figurative and literal.

This morning I am grateful:
- that my son is being more sociable.
- for beautiful skies and bird twittering.
- that a neighbourhood cat has made my garden it's day napping spot. Lots of cuteness.
- for interesting talks by neuroscientists, trauma researchers, and the theory of mind/body connection.
- for ALL the things 🥰.

Best wishes to everyone ❤️.

Grateful for coffee, acupuncture this morning, and nice weather this weekend to play in the garden

….oh and sorry if this is TMI, but I’m also grateful that my female cycle decided to wait for the weekend so I won’t have to deal with it at work!

Free - Yes, let's hope sobriety is a growing trend. I'm noticing a slow change here in the UK I think. I just watched a video where a guy makes the point that people come into schools and say 'Don't do drugs' but no one ever says 'Don't do alcohol'. It's nuts when you think about it

CBS - Yes, green curry. the best!

Fearless - Love the Viktor Frankl quote. So true, and so important to remember

So today I'm grateful to be 1 week cigarette free!!! Now I've just gotta keep it up
Grateful to a family friend for giving me his old coffee machine
Grateful that my uncle is accepting of his situation at the moment, basically that he needs help looking after himself
Grateful friends
Grateful for this thread
Grateful to be sober
Grateful for another day living and breathing
Love to all

CK, it's a balmy -10 down here
Grateful I used my homemade pizza dough to make 2 different strombolis. One with pepperoni and one with just cheese as my MIL sometimes is not in the mood for stromboli. I then heated up some marinara sauce for dipping
Grateful despite the biting cold I cleared the snow from my MIL's driveway yesterday. It snowed again so I may have to do it, although Mr. A may want to
Purps, not TMI, I have been there before.
Grateful for my family here, I appreciate all of you more than you know.

Grateful to have a crazy big sense of humor. I'm convinced that my cat is a reincarnated comedian
Grateful to have maintained a strong connection through and throughout my addiction to my family. Because family is my everything and that bound is unbreakable. Thank You Buddha
Grateful for warmish weather here in SoCali. Be careful NE US and the Canucks with the arctic temps. Burrrrrrrr
Grateful drinking water from a tap in my home. Many around the world do not have that.
Grateful for birds, Those buggers are the coolest

Bonus gratitude
Grateful for my e-bike. doing something/anything to help the planet breath easier is rewarding self-worth wise.

Oh my gosh CK! And Alpine! And Hev too! That is COLD.
Fearless have so been there on the electronics. Mine has been without a phone for months because of repeated (and almost always intentional, rage-fueled) destruction. I’m sorry you all are going through it with the laptop. And just in general.

I think I’m grateful I did not set an alarm and let myself just sleep but it was seriously a lot later than usual and I am totally discombobulated and now feel in a hurry to do the things and the jibs and the whatnots.
Grateful to read all your lovely posts.
Grateful to be sober and now well rested

HA-Zen, love your post, especially the cat comment.

Being in PA, I too am grateful for a working heater on this cold morning. And that my trees stayed standing.

Also grateful for another wonderful wake up, sober mornings never get old.

Zen I think an e-bike is wonderful for the earth. May need to get one myself. It would make sense for quick nearby errands.
Alpine I am always impressed by your cooking. I love to cook but have gotten lazy, partly because I work more hours now, and grab take out a lot. I will cook tonight.
Ck glad you are keeping warm!
Jack congrats on the 1 week cig free. Keep going!
Purps I have been doing acupuncture too. I think it is helping my lower back pain and my mood.
Zura I am glad your son is being more sociable.
Hev hope your power stayed on.
Free good luck on the job pursuit.
Fearless I love the image of runaway train for thoughts. I need to stop those myself. I am getting better at catching them. Stop the ANTS(automatic negative thoughts)
NL it is good you had a sleep in.
Sam good to see you!

Grateful for a good time with my granddaughter for the sleepover. No screen time. We went out for Pho and roasted marshmallows by the fire at home. Then read nature books about Whales and the Human Body.
Grateful I scheduled a manicure this morning.
Grateful for sunshine even if it is cold. But not as cold as up north.
Grateful I fele a little more hopeful. The anhedonia is lifting some from the PAWS.
Grateful for my sobriety.
Grateful for all of you!

CK - I was going to say we're at -10F (like Alpine said) but if you're at -29C I think that's -20F. You win. We're getting warmer tomorrow - hope you are too.
Alp - I love stromboli - never tried to make them though.
NL - Glad you got a good rest!
CBS - We didn't lose power, thanks. Many around us did & there were warming stations to go to. A friend lost her power in the wee hours & when she woke up it was 50 in her house.
Fearless - It was a 3-slice night. Contemplated a 4th.
Grateful for everyone here.
Grateful for bright sun, even though it's horribly cold.
Grateful MrH made soup for tonight - might make up for excess calories I had yesterday.
Grateful this is not a lost weekend.
Love to all.

- to have a home I love.
- for another beautiful day.

Hope it's a great weekend for everyone ❤️.

Grateful I got a not-too-bad night's sleep, despite sleeping over at the kids' house and having one ear open all night for the toddler. He only awoke once, briefly, and otherwise stayed asleep for 11 hours. Can't ask for better than that.
Grateful we're getting some rain today.
Grateful the sore throat I caught from the kids isn't too bad so far. (Gratiwhine, anyone?)
Grateful to read your posts & updates.

Grateful to be among the gratitude bunch here

Up early is the norm for me, 3am today. Ready for another mug of jumping Joe. "Now up for the reality of the day, I will proceed in a merry way." OK I like to talk in gingles for inspiration for the day haha. Make time to amuse yourself,. A smile is powerful medicine that heals the soul.

Grateful for the extra courage that comes from 'working' my recovery/wellness plan of action.
Grateful for the meditation induced calm that comes from 'working' my recovery/wellness plan of action.
Grateful for the stress reduction skills that comes from 'working' my recovery/wellness plan of action.
Grateful for a sober/clean life born from a hopeless addiction and now headed into the 4th dimension (nervana) or a close facsimile there of. Progress not perfection. Easy Does It
