Alpine - Sorry about your hip. Do you take anything to ease the pain?
Grateful I had chance to stop in on this busy day.
Grateful for an unusually kind & thoughtful email from my son. No snarkiness - wow.
Grateful I'm determined to not go overboard at Christmas this year.
Grateful for you all.

Lily76, glad you are here. I like the term “higher being”.
Free, you have been working so hard and dealing with so much! Hope it is all done by Friday after all.
Hev, hooray for the nice son email.

Grateful for coffee.
Grateful to get to the grocery store last night (though had to cut the trip short to go get my daughter so I never made it to the refrigerated/frozen stuff ).
Grateful to be a sober driver to two middle schoolers who went to a football game.
Grateful for a night of what felt like deep sleep. Still tired though but feel less zombified than I did yesterday so it’s progress.
Grateful that I spent almost the entire day documenting for my lawyer how frustrating their handling of my case has been — and figuring out what I want to ask for. It may still need some fine tuning but I’m a step closer to doing the thing that is more in alignment with my own dignity.
Grateful for all of you and this place.

Hi all, coming in after a break that was much longer than I expected - hopefully I can find some consistency in posting again.

Grateful for coffee, so good this morning.
Grateful for the gorgeous fall leaves.
Grateful for a quiet house.
Grateful to make the decision to stay home and take a couple hours of sick leave today, due to a persistent cold.
Grateful to be thinking a lot about the fact that life is short and I need to really live it.
Grateful for some good meetings with my boss last week, which allowed me to feel a bit more connected to her.
Grateful to be sober.

Good Morning 🌞

FBL - cool avatar 😁
NL - that's a bit too cute re your son ❤️. Hope your feeling more rested.
Alpine - sounds like a lovely evening by the fire. Hope your hip eases up, it's frustrating. Hugs all round ☺️.
Free - it must be difficult, I too hope it's all sorted in time and glad you've got stepson to help. Enjoy your beautiful day.
Samwitch - we are in spring here so just as you are enjoying putting on your favourite sweater, we are enjoying getting to take ours off 😜.
Hev - glad you got a nice email from your son ❤️.
Lily - this universe we get to live in sure is full of wonder and mystery. I'm glad your getting the support you need.
PS - I agree re life being too short and we should make the most if it. Hope your feeling better.
Fearless - sounds fun making peanut brittle with your friend!
zencat - hello ☺️.

This morning I am grateful:
- for a sunny, dry day yesterday- to have conquered the front jungle.
- that today is forecast dry again and I can conquer the back jungle.
- for coffee ☕🥰.
- for SR ❤️.

Best wishes to you all for a beautiful day ☺️.

Lily - Grateful for you too - so nice to have you here. Love your kitty's name.
PalmerSage - You were missed.
Free - A bit Cherokee - that's one reason you're special. I'm sad to say when I was drinking I didn't pay much attention to my surroundings. I'm trying to make up for it - opening the curtains wide & being aware of what's going on around me. There was too much darkness & isolation in my past.
Grateful for warmth & sun this week - unexpected this time of year.
Grateful to be gathering up more stuff for the thrift shop. I doubt I'll be wearing those size 6 jeans from the 1990's ever again.
Grateful to not be in a fog.
Grateful for gold & red leaves falling past my window.
Happy Tuesday - we'll make the best of it, with eyes wide open.

HI everyone, I'm a bit late for a morning post, but nevertheless-
I'm grateful for my job.
And my house.
And my independence.
And all the people in my life.

Blessings, all!

Thanks for the welcome back, guys. Free, my husband is doing fine, and I think my son is doing OK at college? It can be hard to really tell, but he was home for one night and was ready to get back there, so I guess it's a good sign!
NL, I'm so happy you were able to document your issues with your attorneys, and insist on proper treatment. I can't imagine how frustrated you must be.
Hev, I can totally relate to the "darkness and isolation" in the past. I was just thinking about all the time I wasted, wishing the years away when my kids were younger.
Fearless, I'm desperately trying to get back on the wagon of healthier eating, but this talk about chocolate-covered peanut brittle is making me reconsider.

Grateful for coffee.
Grateful I'm keeping a tradition alive that I started when my boys were little - "breakfast birthday parties," which involves decorating and a doughnut tower "cake." My younger son leaves the house at 6, which means he gets up at 5:15, so this was one of the earlier ones. So happy to have him home for a couple more years, he's a joy to have around.
Grateful that my old boss is helping us so much with a challenging work product. Grateful to just have him around for support and camraderie too.
Grateful to not focus too much on work annoyances and drama.
Grateful to be feeling a bit better, and for a telework day (even though my colleague and I have to jump back and forth to 3 different presentations in a one-hour time slot.
Grateful that the work chaos is probably actually progress in disguise - at least I hope it is?
Grateful my brother had my parents over last weekend.
Grateful to have plans to see my SIL and MIL this weekend.
Grateful to be sober.

Grateful for families with traditions
Grateful Alpine had date night, it was nice to golf nine holes with my husband early yesterday morning
Grateful for my self love, rediscovered through longer than one year sobriety for me, and the ability to set and keep boundaries.
Grateful to have blocked eldest from calling or texting me, and setting the boundary that she can contact me through email only. It’s more difficult to verbally abuse someone that way, as we can see what we write, with opportunity to keep respect and kindness in our words.
Grateful I’ve determined that I will only go to condo Friday, to touch up paint and caulk, then I’m done.
Grateful we gave eldest opportunity to thrive in a wonderful environment, hope she decides to utilize all the amenities near and available to her.
Grateful the $400 worth of new cookware I left in the old oven can be replaced, as much as that hurts to repurchase them.
Grateful I called the police yesterday for an altercation in the library parking lot, when I was leaving, there were TWO police cars there.
Grateful when someone said to me regarding the altercation, “You have to let that go, eh? It’s none of our business”. I replied, “Sure, it’s only my business if a stray bullet hits someone or me, eh?” I think I saved this woman’s life. Silence kills.
Grateful for coffee
Grateful you all let me Grati-whine.

Palmer, I like the breakfast bday party idea
Alpine, glad you had a date night
Free, so happy for the self love you are developing in sobriety
FBL, congrats on the pay raise!
Numblady, so nice to experience that bonding with your kiddos
Grateful to have slept in
Grateful to not have to rush to get ready and race into work
Grateful to spend time reading. Started reading the Longevity Diet. I like it
Sonny boy just finished Life of Pi for a school book report. I’m going to read this too
Grateful to not start worrying last night when sonny boy was angry. He was expressing it in healthier ways than in the past and that is progress
Grateful to remember that what we worry about has already happened
Grateful for my running routine
