Grateful we had 3 days to ourselves, 2 of which we went canoeing in a very beautiful area
Give me some time to place catchup with all of you and your grats please
Grateful for the beautiful fall colors we saw while canoeing
Grateful for all the loons we saw. I imagine they are getting ready to migrate because there were large groups together and usually there are only 1-2 per lake in the area we where in

Warning Grate-whine. Really just a whine followed by some gratefulness.
Okay, I hope and pray that this is the last ailment I have to tell you about for a while. When they were diagnosing my diverticulitis they did a CT scan and in the ER doctors report he mentions "Multilevel mild broad-based disc bulges in the lumbar spine". I have been having back pain and thought it was muscular. Oh well I am on a roll! When it rains it pours. I am going to speak with my doc Monday. The ER doctor did not even mention it when he discharged me. Unfortunately, my tennis team is in the City championships and I think this means I cannot be in the lineup. I will just have to be a cheerleader. Hopefully, physical therapy will help it improve. UGH! Reading about it I learned I am not supposed to do laundry, vacuum, cycle, feed pets?, garden, or do situps etc... Thank goodness I hired housekeepers a while back.

Zen, Silent Run it is good to see you here.
Zura I hope the rain subsides so your garden can dry out.
Free I love a lap kitty. I am trying to train one of mine to get in my lap. The other there is no hope for. I used to have a beloved Siamese/Himalayan, Lucy that always got in my lap as soon as I sat down.
NL it does drive me crazy that society accepts alcohol because it is legal. But it is a drug and poison. I want to preach to my drinking friends but I don't want to alienate them.

Grateful I know about my bulging discs so I can work to help them get better.
Grateful for my sobriety.
Grateful for a quiet day. I was going to babysit for my granddaughter tonight but she and her mom are not feeling well. I need to chill.
Grateful for pretty weather so I could take a short walk.
Grateful I am advancing my diet as my doctor said I could. Slowly incorporating some fiber and normal food into my diet.
Grateful I only have 3 more days of antibiotics I hope.
Grateful my husband is hunting for the day with his buddy. I am enjoying the quiet.
Grateful my youngest daughter came over yesterday and we walked and then went out for dinner and I had a real meal.
Grateful for this wonderful group.

Vik - I can't believe we put ourselves in danger so many times. I'm so thankful that'll never happen again. I love the Rottweilers too.
zura - Baked goods are rarely the way we remember them - they cut corners now so they can be mass produced. Maybe it's just as well. I love the chirping birds serenade.
Alpine - Good to have you back home.
Free - You're special, that's why kitty chose you.
CBS - Oh, that sounds awful - I hope it can be managed & made better. Glad you know about it though.
Grateful for the new family members posting here.
Grateful the chickadees & other birds have returned to the feeders. Not sure where they went over the summer.
Grateful for bight sun & mild temps. It's going to change soon though.
Grateful to take a ride tomorrow to check out the colors - not at peak yet.
Grateful for patience.
Love you, GP.

Quick check in so I can get some outdoor work done while it's not raining.

This morning I am grateful:
- it's not raining constantly so I can atleast get a few things done.
- for gum boots and steady balance when traversing the backyard bog when retrieving my tools and tending my chicken.
- for everyone here 🥰.

Hope it's a beautiful day for you all ❤️.

Grateful my husband went to the ER with me again, in the middle of the night this time, because I had chills and nausea, which can be a sign of diverticulitis complications. But the doctor thinks I am fine. This healing is slow going. He thinks the nausea is from the 2 antibiotics I am on. No explanation for the chills because I don't have a fever.
Grateful for my sobriety.
Grateful I got a couple hours of sleep when we got back from the hospital and I don't have any pressing things to do today.
Grateful for health insurance.
Grateful for SR and the GP.

CBS, hope things start to improve soon for you.
Free, thats a lovely autumn picture, is that the view from your home? If so your so lucky!
Featless, what would we do without Amazon!!! I remember the days when a parcel took days! Now you can get it the next morning! Glad you slept well.
Zura, hope you managed to get the garden work done.
Vik/Hev I too put myself in many a dangerous situation over my drinking years, no so much in recent years but more so when younger. Looking back its unbelievable and quite frankly terrifying! I hope to god my kids never put themselves at risk.

Grateful for a better day today, bit of tension in the household yesterday.
Grateful for eating lots of nice food this weekend, blah to the calories, I just enjoy it.
Grateful for a day off this week, I'll just be lumbered with NJ,s but at least I'll be alone lol.
Grateful that you can now buy costa hot chocolate to make at home, I can confirm it is pretty good! Especially with some cream and marshmallows on top!
Grateful for sobriety and the lovely people here.

Zura - Hope you got it done before the rain.
Free - Lovely picture! Who's your feathered friend? Looks like a large one.
CBS - I'm sorry you had to go back. Scary times, but I'm glad they think you're ok.
Grateful for a lovely ride in the country & the purchase of pumpkin spice candles.
Grateful for sleeping better the past few nights.
Grateful MrHev made chili. (No cornbread though.)
Grateful for our dear GP.

Good morning 🌞
Free - I've seen pics you've posted of that view before (inlaws?) It's awesome to see the comparison to a different season!! Very lovely.
Fearless - that's so nice you bonded with your son watching fun tv together.
Alpine - hope your well, your inspiring me to eat more salads 😁.
CBS - that's awful your still dealing with so much, sending best wishes for a speedy recovery and less complications.
BB - your hot chocolate sounds very decadent and delicious. Haha NJs, love it!
Hevyn - sounds like a wonderful country outing, now I want to smell spiced pumpkin candles.

This morning I am grateful:
- that my son is strong enough to use the new electric pruner as it's quite heavy and I'm not sure Im strong enough to wield it safely. I joked I'm going to have to join the gym so I can use it, but he seemed to enjoy it so maybe I'll just continue to outsource that job to him.
- that the rain has subsided enough to atleast get one job done. It's so wet and boggy and probably won't dry out before I can get to the overgrow lawn and edges before more prolonged rain. Which of course is causing it too grow more 🤣. It's a viscous cycle lol.
- that I now have a working mower and additional tools to make keeping everything neat and tidy easier once we get the jungle under control again.
- that it's a sunny day without rain I and can enjoy the outdoors today.

Hope it's a great day for everyone ☺️.

Zura, you are so astute! Yes, in laws! That’s the Minnesota River Valley.

CBS, I’m sorry the pain you are going through. What an incredible year you’ve remained sober through.

CBS, oh my! Prayers for continued healing.

Grateful for Free sharing the pic.
Grateful for all your posts.
Grateful to be back in my house and in my bed (wish I would have had more time in it).
Grateful, so grateful that I didn’t add alcohol to what was already a nice but very exhausting weekend. Sleeping in different places. Staying up later than I wanted to. Being off rhythm. Having my flight get delayed and not getting home until almost midnight last night. All of it has me so tired. I am so glad that I don’t have a grotesque hangover to add to the load.
Grateful my son was so sweet when I came home (albeit that he was gaming well past when he was supposed to be). He grabbed my suitcase from me and wanted to carry it for me. Then had sweet questions about my reunion.
Grateful today is a holiday in theory for us. Still have loads I need to do. Like overwhelming loads of tasks both niggly and gigantic. But so much better than if it were packed with meetings.
Grateful to get by here. I miss this ritual when I can’t post.
Grateful for all of you.
