Thank you, Dee!
Astro, what is bratwurst casserole? I love brats and have found a good vegan substitute that I eat often in the summer!
I feel a bit funny tonight. Many things to be grateful for on the micro level and many many horrors on the macro level. First off, I'm grateful to be alive after a mass shooting in my city this weekend. I'm grateful that no one I know was killed. One of my veterans lives a block away and I was very worried about her but as far as I can tell she's ok. I'm having dreams of packing it in for a safer country. Aly, take me to Portugal with you! I'm grateful that sobriety gives some mental and emotional space to think about how I want to channel my anger and disgust into change. It's hard to feel all the feelings but it's worth it. I also tell myself it's ok to feel pissed and disgusted and not grateful some times...there's a lot of crap going on and every day is not rosy. Tomorrow might be different. Grateful for that.

AT, I'm glad you're safe. If it weren't for my pension I think I would have already moved out of the city, I'm finding it harder to deal with the anger and cruelty that I witness on almost a daily basis. Last night I was the target of someone's tirade, how she could almost run me down when I was wearing a bright safety vest and waving my arms is beyond me!

What kind of vegan substitute do you have for brats? The casserole is just chunks of brats browned in a dutch oven, then add shredded cabbage and carrots until they're tender and season with whatever you want, I used Everything Bagel seasoning which was a nice touch.

Grateful that my area supervisor backed me up and supported me last night, and that I didn't stoop down to the level of anger that was being hurled at me.
Grateful that my wife and I had time to run out for a Hawaiian ice yesterday, and we're up together early this AM to get her to her first business trip in over two years. It's going to be hard being apart for a couple weeks but I'm proud of her for being so committed to her career,

Once again I'm doing a morning bedtime gratitude. I did think of my grats last night as I was falling asleep.

I'm grateful for
- my brother visiting my Dad so we can all zoom
- my renter coming over to talk with me
- getting in 20 minutes of do-it-yourself physical therapy
-a friend calling because he is struggling
-a lovely session in the garden weeding.
- my flower garden in general
- figuring out how to use the Libby App with my library

Well I have plans to pick up a teenager to go study with her for finals. I'm not sure how it will go but I have a new resolution to "Show up and Shut up". I have heard that the American Indians, the Hopi, say a good Hopi, speaks little and takes part in all the dances. I'm trying for that.

Yes, Dominoe's Pizza and Amazon! That's my hot stock tip for today

Grateful to be going to the doctor's this morning and if I feel well enough, I'll do a little grocery shopping after. Yuk. Oh well, it has to be done. I'm still not feeling well from my ulcer, but am taking a lot of natural supplements for it, hopefully they'll help. They already have a bit.
Grateful for my sobriety and with this ulcer, absolutely no drinking whatsoever, even more to keep me sober!
Grateful for all of you.
Thank you, Fearless and all of you.
Love and peace to all. 💖💟☮💞

Grateful to be getting some cleaning and light chores done while working from home today.
Grateful for text messages and phone calls from my wife while she's traveling for work.
