Well, I am going to have to check out the makeup and skin care at Marshall’s. Though I’m not sure if mine here is as good as the one there
Grateful to bond over makeup 😊
Imvalentine, congrats on the oncology appt results!
Palmer, yes, gotta watch those mansplainers and other trouble makers at the office. Sometimes they are hard to detect at first
Grateful to have slept very well
Grateful to finally be down 2.5 lbs. I have a couple more to go.
Grateful for self control and the way it makes me feel so much better about myself when I am being good to myself
Grateful for wellness
Grateful to be going for a short run, then a hike later with friend
Grateful for no big plans today. May do some painting

Grateful to get some tips on makeup. I don’t know how to wear it so I just don’t. But it would probably be a good idea for Zoom. Then again, it’s probably also okay to just look the way i look. Maybe I’ll just see if I happen upon stuff next time I’m in Marshall’s!
Grateful I will be driving the kids and the dog to stay with some old friends in a different town tonight. I’m a little bummed they’re off the wagon but don’t think it will be any kind of issue.
Grateful that I am driving down to see them at what would have been prime wine time. But now I’ll just be out there sober and safe.
Grateful some friends took our kid to an early cross country meet.
Grateful I prioritized sleep even if I don’t have much to show for it and it’s already 9:15. Of course, I guess I did feed the cats, feed the dog, go out with her, help my daughter get ready for dance and pack for trip, make to-do list, give dog meds, and try to help my husband with a splinter. Oh and coordinate private dance lesson and payment.
Grateful that mundane list helps me remember most of the time I’m trying to keep a lot of balls in the air even if I don’t feel that productive.
Grateful September will end soon. It’s been too intense.
Grateful for all of you.

Grateful for the best sleep I have had in a while. Must be the mountain air and the hike yesterday.
Grateful to be in this house that was my MIL's and now my husband's nieces house. So many memories here and the house is still in the family for now anyway.
Grateful for a beautiful cool day.
Grateful for hot coffee.
Grateful for the two sweet dogs here.
Grateful for my sobriety.
Grateful for all of you.

View from the hike.

CBS, what a beautiful view!
Grateful for the photo collage I was able to put together, of Mr. T enjoying travel adventures, framed and up on my wall.
Grateful the kids and I are learning paddleboarding.
Grateful I'm getting ear injections that seem to be helping with my vertigo.
Grateful I was able to put together a night's sleep, even though it occurred in two separate batches and required like 12 hours to get 7 hours of sleep. I'm grateful for whatever sleep I can get.
Grateful to read all your updates, several days worth, not sure where I've been the last two days. (Well I know where I've been, just don't know why I forgot to post).

Do you know what today is? It's Rusty's 68th birthday in heaven. Miss you Rusty! Thanks for all the advice over the years. I always had a lot of faith in you. Give Jack a tummy rub for me and tell him I still miss him.

Rule 62 rules!

Fearless, when you check out the skincare and makeup section at Marshall's, let me know if you find anything good! It's a lot to pick through, but when you find something, the prices are truly incredible (and the one near me isn't even the best, lots of other brand-savvy women snapping things up right away!)
CBS, that's a gorgeous view - so happy you're having a nice little getaway.

Grateful for coffee.
Grateful to have fallen down an internet rabbit hole on a truly shocking and horrifying true crime case, because although it was a terrible tragedy it also reminded me of how devastating alcoholism really is. Here are some details if anyone is curious, lots of speculation but alcohol clearly played a role: https://www.reddit.com/r/UnresolvedM...rkway_crash_i/
Grateful that although my husband tested positive for Covid yesterday, he feels much better today.
Grateful that my kids are old enough to be vaccinated, and symptom free.
Grateful for some great moments at my son's soccer game yesterday. They lost again, which is not something he is used to, and this season they are just getting killed. At one point, with a few minutes to go, one of the dads was yelling "let's get in there and win this!" which was definitely not happening, and we all just stopped and stared at him - then we all started laughing.
Grateful for my comfortable bed.
Grateful my dogs got some much-needed showers yesterday.
Grateful to be sober.

good to see you, Arbor
Mags, glad your kitty came home
Palmer, going there today. Will let you know
Least, thank you for the reminder of Rusty’s birthday and rule 62!
Grateful to be up early to get more done even though it would have been nice to get a little more sleep. Grateful I may be able to take a nap later
Grateful to be reading Sanjay Gupta MD’s book on Keeping Sharp and the brain
Grateful to be going to brunch with good friends this morning
Grateful for a family bike ride later

Grateful to remember Rusty.
Grateful to be able to get paddling gear for me and the kids and set it up at the docks ... a well-organized gear locker makes me very happy.
Grateful for a good night's sleep.
Grateful I'll be babysitting this afternoon -- that little guy is medicine for the soul.

Palmer I hope your husband is okay and you stay well.
Turs, I call my grand "my little antidepressant". I am happy you get time with yours.
Welcome Arbor. Good to see you.
Mags I am glad your kitty came home.

Grateful to be home safely from the mountains.
Grateful to be back to my comfy bed and my lovely shower.
Grateful for a good visit with my husband's sister and niece.
Grateful for my sobriety.
Grateful for the distraction of being out of town to get out of my head a little bit.
Grateful for SR and all of you.

From my hike Friday.

Grateful to read PalmerSage’s link. So sad and life destroying what addiction can do to us.
Grateful for CBS’s beautiful photo.
Grateful Least got some relief from her heat pad.
Grateful for finding sobriety, getting through the difficult times and now being happy in sobriety! It is worth it!
Grateful for all the Grat Pack and your wonderful Grats.
