Grateful to Dee for the new part and so many other things!
Grateful for all your kind words about the health scare. I think I was so excited I didn’t do a good job of explaining that yes, it was completely good news. The long and short of it was they found masses in my initial screening, but were not able to tell more conclusively that those masses were either not tumors (or benign if they were tumors) until this additional screening and consultation with radiologist. There’s 1 mass they want to monitor for a couple years, every six months. Just in an absolute abundance of caution but it’s not one they are concerned about. Guess it wasn’t completely possible to tell it was a cyst v. Tumor in this screen but they have no thought that at this time it looks at all like cancer. So all my terrible fears about worst case scenario were quieted.
Grateful for all the happy tears that fell when the tech gave me the results. She acknowledged it was terrible for patients that they really didn’t get to know anything in between the tests but said that’s how they have to do it. I guess it’s better to leave people in suspense than give false good news too early. Maybe? I guess it also comes down to when they have to get the radiologist to look at something. Idk. Just so grateful it’s basically over.
Grateful for the inspiration to follow up on other health appointments I’ve let go too long. Makes me think of I think a Brene Brown piece about radical self care. She’s not my favorite but that piece in particular really resonated. What worried me the very most in all this was that I went almost 3 years in between screenings. it could have been my fault in the sense of failing to address a basic health appointment because of work. Because of taking the kids to their appointments and the cats to the vets and what ever else. Because it was one more thing and it’s harder to prioritize myself really than to sort of silently live in martyrdom. And how stupid that is.
Grateful CBS is also getting health issues addressed.
Grateful for Tursiops beautiful and wise words about not being able to will herself into serenity.
Grateful I get to go pick up my daughter from camp today.
Grateful for all of you so much.

Grateful my dad is getting hearing aids today finally!! I'm so tired of screaming and repeating myself.
Also grateful that he will not be screaming because he can't hear himself...Like when ordering lunch " I'LL TAKE THE CRUNCHY GROUPER SANDWICH WITH COLESLAW!!!"....sheesh
Grateful to be here!!

Numblady - thanks for the clarification - I thought that's what you meant, but wasn't sure. How absolutely terrifying to have that hanging over your head - how great that you have good news earlier than you thought.
Boondock - I know what you mean about the talking loud....glad your dad is taking that step. Hope it works out well, I guess they take some getting used to.
Deserto - Wherefore art thou?
Grateful I'm alone with my own thoughts for a few hours - so nice.
Grateful that most people are pleasant if you give them a chance.
Grateful we can always change our preconceived notions about stuff.
Grateful for each & every one of you!

NL, glad for your good news.
Grateful for the wonderful posts.
Boondock, I love grouper sandwiches, which a friend turned me onto when I was at college at FSU. I wish we could get them in CA. I hear Hawaii has them. A long way to go for a sandwich! They are good though. Maybe one of these days if I ever retire to Tallahassee... or Mexico, who knows?
Dee, thank you for the thread!
Have a great day all.

Congrats, CBS. 192 days is wonderful!
Grateful it is cooling, or seems to be, at the moment. Hopefully cooler than yesterday.
Grateful another neighbor I didn't like very much has moved! Yay! Working on letting go and letting God and he usually comes through for me. If not, there is probably a reason.
Grateful to take my mom to the last week of drive through communion. So my mom and I are going soon. Church is really important to her so we'll try to get her to mass with her foot next week. Grateful to be able to help her. I know it has to be painful.
Grateful for everyone here. Love and peace to you all. Have a wonderful day!
