Grateful that being sober is now so normal to me that I forgot to celebrate two straight years of it two days ago. Also very grateful for the life I am currently living more generally.

Rusty, so sorry to hear the news. All my love and prayers are with you. You are an inspiration.
Thank you so much, Cour and Mags for the lovely thoughts. I so appreciate them.
Grateful Dev is doing so well, binge and bulimia free!
Grateful to be able to stay in bed a little longer today. Grateful I have an easy day today. I have to make a few phone calls and get an appt for Luke's heartworm and flea medicine. Grateful that they have a new flea med that you give the dog/cat and it kills fleas on contact. Saves having to bomb the house and toxic flea baths, etc. I just love it and no hot spots from fleas on Luke!
Grateful for the Grat Pack.

Zip - Yup, we're the grat pack - & every bit as cool as those guys. Except I can't sing a note.
Dear friend - my prayers are continuing. Grateful for courageous people who set an incredible example to follow.

Aly - The new flea stuff is great. I used to try those flea collars & they never worked.
Austerities - Hello! Congrats on your over 2 yrs. of sobriety.
Grateful for a sunny day - rare this time of year.
Grateful MrH went shopping & I had 2 hrs. of alone time.
Grateful to be the 'bigger person' when necessary. I try to be forgiving & empathetic. Sometimes I fail.
Grateful for all of you here.

Sorry to hear that, Rusty. Sending you healing thoughts and prayers.

Grateful for the way Dirtbag likes to sit on my chest and knead my shoulders when I'm on the couch. If I'm wearing a fleece he'll suckle at the fibers, which is both adorable and sad, since it means he was likely cast out of the litter early, just like ol' Deserto.

(((((RZ)))). I am so, so sorry and so, so amazed you still walk the walk of gratitude. Prayers for you. For the new treatment. For the skills and care of health care providers to lead you to health.

Grateful what Deserto shared about Dirtbag has set my mind a-spinning a bit in all the ways being cast out of the litter early and living that out in certain behaviors is, maybe not a metaphor for a lot of things, but similar to a lot of things in people.
Grateful Austerities got so used to the sober life. Congrats on the 2 years!
Grateful for my grandparents. I got to talk to them a couple of days ago and my grandpa had just taken a fall but fortunately I guess just fell back on his behind. It was just hard to think of them still isolated in their independent living apartment, and just hearing my grandma’s Midwestern voice break a little bit when she talked about her sister having pneumonia and covid and that she might just kind of resign herself to slipping into death and how she (my grandma) was sad was tough. But I also got to hear her talk about how much things have changed in her life time and living through wars and all the technology that is out there now. What a strong generation.
Grateful it is my last day in this job. I am leaving amid what seems like a lot of impatience and irritation from my boss over, well, reality. And it hurts the feelings of the overachiever in me. But reminds the true part of me I’m doing the right thing.
Grateful my old team gave me a Zoom good-bye yesterday. It was unspeakably awkward as Zoom things are. But they said such nice things. A couple even made me cry,
Grateful that what has felt like the longest week of my work career is coming to an end.
Grateful that the weekend will be the weekend and not just extra workdays when I can also sneak in a nap if I’m lucky.
Grateful to read all the wonderful grats today.

Thinking the best possible thoughts for RZ.
SO grateful that my close sobriety buddy Numblady is finally free of that job!!!

Grateful for coffee.
Grateful my younger son earned a merit badge last night.
Grateful my presentations yesterday seemed to go pretty well.
Grateful that I don't have to please everyone, or even try to be perfect.
Grateful it's Friday.
Grateful for this cold weather.
Grateful to be in the Christmas spirit, making our house festive and cozy, but not at all perfect. Trying to reprogram my brain.
Grateful that my older son hugged me when I brought him a Santa filled with Skittles.
Grateful I have a young, enthusiastic person on my new work team.
Grateful it's Friday.
Incredibly grateful to be sober.
