The fires in California sound super-scary and hard to live with. Hugs to all the Cali folks in the Pack.

Grateful to be able to make someone laugh.

Grateful Aly here and safe. Worrying over Fearless and Sunpengwn. I think all 3 are in Cali—and I could be forgetting others but those are definitely on my worry list.
Grateful the first day of school went pretty well for the kids. Trying not to be over-confident because the shine will wear off, but hey, it’s better than it starting as an unmitigated disaster.
Grateful I got some extra sleep after being awake 3:30-5:30, though kind of discombobulated that I slept in. Also makes me grateful I usually get up before my family. Pretty sure I’ve been interrupted 42 separate times in the 20 or so minutes I’ve tried to read and post here.
Grateful to Daisy for the tip about posting images. Here goes [img][/img]

thought we had a better pic but this was the only one I could find.
Grateful to be here.

Yay, N.L you did it and what lovely pics, thank you for sharing them. Here's another tip, when you go into post image click on the top box and select the option for 'message boards', it makes the pics bigger when you post here. Also once you've posted them, if you then click on edit and don't do anything, just repost, it gets rid of those little letter things at the side of the pic. Hope this helps. xxx

Grateful to read all your grats today, grateful to be one of the grat pack gang, just sorry I've run out of time to post more.

Lots of love to you all. xxx

Numblady, it looks like all hands on deck (or cat). Any scratches?

Thinking of Aly, Sunpengwn, and Fearless.

Grateful for something to look forward to.

Grateful to be venturing out to do shopping. I wrote on another thread, now it's 9:30 am and it's very dark out is a big orange sun. So I'm going to mask up and venture into the darkness. I'll be so grateful when the fires stop.
Thank you for my friends thinking of us in CA. It is really a mess here. Grateful to hear of really great people helping others.
Grateful for the FireFighters on the Line risking their lives, esp the volunteers and inmate volunteers.
Grateful to be physically feeling a little better today.
Mags, thank you and so grateful for you my friend. Hope you are feeling well these days. Thinking of you.
Grateful for all of you! Love and peace to all. Have a great day.

Late to the party - but grateful for you all. I'm concerned, too, for our dear Cali - the fires & terrible heatwave. Praying for relief.
Numblady - What a lovely ginger kitty getting all clean & sparkly.
Grateful for my sobriety.
Grateful I actually slept last night.
Grateful for a discussion with my son about politics - but what a headache I was left with.
Grateful for my fashionable masks in pretty colors - but can't wait until the day we don't need them.

Grateful to be here and see you all. Grateful so much for the consistency of this thread and for all of you who so reliably come here
Numblady, love the cat bath pic! Btw, my son loved the movie Forest Gump. Also one of my Dads favs. I’m so sorry that movie night didn’t go well. The way you handle parenting in tough situations always inspires me!
Grateful for rusty’s attitude. And the big boy briefs. Lol
Grateful for all the positive thoughts about the fires and the heatwave here.
Grateful that I got away to Nevada to see my friend ver the weekend and had an awesome time. Though it was pretty smoky there too since they’ve had their share of fires.
Grateful for a great work team that all support one another. One coworker has evacuated. A few are without power. We are living on what looks like planet Mars from all the fires. More fires exploded last night. There is ash everywhere. The sun never came out and the entire sky is orange. It is so surreal. Grateful that my husbands nieces and nephews were able to evacuate safely with all of their pets and pertinent belongings. Grateful they have shelter to go to. Hoping they will be able to return home safely
Grateful for the emergency alert system and all the firefighters and healthcare workers
Grateful my Dads 85th birthday is today and to be able to FaceTime with him with the help of his nurse. Grateful that though he has declined, his pain is under control and doctor is adding an anti anxiety med
Grateful for perseverance

N.L I forgot to say, I just love orange cats, they're my very favourite and I'm trying to talk Mr D.B into wanting one but it's not happening yet. Watch this space

Prayers for Aly, Fearless, Pengwn and all who are affected by the horrendous fires in C A

Grateful to drop my g.son off safely to school this morning.
Grateful to divert his little temper tantrum.
Grateful to have dinner all prepared for this evening.
Grateful to be cleaning my fridge and freezer out ( not really, but I will be when I've finished it)
Grateful for my little cat even if she is grey and not orange, she's gorgeous.
Grateful for coffee.
Grateful for Mags and all she does.
Grateful to see Fearless posting. Happy 85th birthday to your lovely, precious dad. So glad he's in good hands.
Grateful for each and every one of you. xxx

Grateful to Daisy for all the photo posting tips! Hopefully i can keep them in my brain until the next time I want to post one. I may have to call the Daisy helpline, idk.
Grateful for all the ginger cat love. Or orange tabby as I call them too. They have the best temperament, at least the male ones. I had a girl once and she was kind of a...not super nice lady.
Grateful Fearless and Aly are holding up ok even in the dystopian reality of orange ash filled skies and covid. Hope Sun just has an international outage.
Grateful I try to play the long game at work.
Grateful to weather another storm with my son.
Grateful to be drinking French press coffee — our machine busted. The press makes darn good coffee.
Grateful to be feeling some relief at work from my new hire, even though it comes with some weird personality dynamics.
Grateful it is actually cool here, a rarity for September I feel like.
Grateful for a day to be of service and to keep my ego in check.
Grateful for all of you.

Grateful for warmer weather after a cold spell.
Grateful for going to a close friends birthday dinner.
Grateful for finally dealing with mold in the kitchen.
Grateful for looking for a solution to above problem and eventually finding it.
Grateful for remaining relatively calm during the process.
Grateful for the tools I have learned in recovery.

Grateful for coffee (early wakeup and rain, ugh...)
Grateful for incremental weight loss.
Grateful that we continue to transition to DL, we are slowly adjusting even though we've had some hurdles. Lots of moving parts!
Grateful for my boss.
Grateful that I can mostly keep a positive attitude about work.
Grateful to be (slightly) motivated to cook these days, although I much prefer baking.
Grateful that my MIL finally got her own iPhone, so I can send photos and stuff to just her instead of relying on my FIL.
Grateful to be sober!

Grateful the weather has cooled.
Grateful niece and nephew home is so far safe from fires and wind has shifted direction. Grateful they are safely evacuated and have shelter for now
Grateful for all the orange tabbies out there. I love them too. We had a little stray for a while but haven’t seen him in a while sad 😞
Grateful for my little Daisy and Charlie too
Grateful the work day has started on a good note and grateful for people who respond
Grateful for Amazon and all the great stuff we can buy on a click
Grateful for friendship
Grateful for sobriety and presence of mind
Grateful for our computer family here
