Grateful for coffee!
Grateful for a good night's sleep.
Grateful to have one last (partial) day of solitude.
Grateful that I was able to be of service to my parents last night.
Grateful for the silver linings of this crazy pandemic.
Grateful to have a few helpful allies in my new job.
Grateful that the weather may be cooling down.
Grateful for self-examination and the opportunity for self-improvement!
Grateful to be sober.

Grateful Least’s comment about her cat reminded me of this funny compilation that showed up in my news feed:
https://www.boredpanda.com/cats-meow...mpaign=organic
Grateful that my cats are mostly quiet, except the very dramatic sounds the little one makes when he sees a bug or a fleck of light glinting somewhere on the wall or ceiling. Then. It is serious
Grateful for my daughter. Last night she came in to show me a game she had made up. She has been working on little index cards of something but wouldn’t show me. She came in last night to reveal it to me. They are little Bingo cards for our family to play. They were first entitled kindness bingo but then she retired it to “Life Bingo” and it has everything from eating a healthy snack to writing a family member. Just watching her read off the squares, gosh, it brought tears to my eyes and does again as I write this. Kids have such amazing spirits; so hard sometimes to just stand back and let those shine and not miss them.
Grateful my husband, son, and daughter, and then eventually I had a family wrestling match. If only I could bottle up their laughter while they were being tickled and “fighting” their dad as a team. My daughter was so proud and excited to be teamed up with her brother, who is generally so mean to her.
Grateful my son has a newfound desire to clean his room, including getting rid of a lot of old stuff.
Grateful to get some travel plans sorted. Grateful to get blessing from my boss to take some time off of work after our big hearing in mid-August.
Grateful for this day.
Grateful for this group.

Grateful to wake up on a Sunday morning, sober and free of the nightmares of alcohol.
Grateful for a good nights sleep, I've had a few lately.
Grateful for coffee.
Grateful for Greek fat free blueberry yogurt.
Grateful to feel well.
Grateful for a sense of humour and plenty of patience.
Grateful for my little cat being so pleased to see me this morning, most mornings she lulls me into a sense of false security whilst I'm stroking her and then she bites me.
Grateful to have watched 2 episodes of 'The crown' last night and enjoying it.' I don't generally watch t.v much.
Grateful to read about N.L's lovely children.
Grateful to read all your grats.
Grateful to be here with you all. xx

Grateful for old friends. On Friday a very kind one dropped off a loaf of homemade bread from her neighbors, along with a little collection of flowers from her garden. I sent a whiny text about working and Covid and all that and she was super sweet about it.
Grateful to aspire to have more room in my life to give to others like my friend did.
Grateful for Bradley Cooper. So beautiful! This is a very shallow thing to be grateful for but I finally finished watching the movie I rented (but ended up buying because it was just $1 more) and he was in it. So gorgeous. And sober too!
Grateful my husband spent a substantial part of yesterday working on cleaning my son’s room with him. They really bonded and got a lot done. Usually projects like that don’t work out so well in our household but they listened to Pink Floyd and even ganged up to make fun of me (lovingly). Grateful for how proud my son was to find old gift cards and money (he’s trying to pay off some debt and get me to buy more stuff for him ). He said to me in this way that was like he was acting like the grown up, kind of puffed up and with a devilish smile, “You never know what you’re gonna find when you look through everything.”
Grateful we are going to go to the beach for the first week of school. May regret it but figure as long as it’s remote learning anyhow and that will be after our big hearing at work maybe we’d try to squeeze a slightly vacation like week in there.
Grateful my daughter let me have a couple of squares marked complete in her Life Bingo game. Grateful she spent time writing letters to people and then made art, just family members’ initials on some little canvases I got a while back. Inside each initial she wrote characteristics of the person.I think this is the solitary upside to the amount of Youtube and Insta she watches. She’s started writing inspirational little Note cards that are beautifully decorated, with encouragement like “Sease the day”. It’s so kind and adorable. I mean, I guess she could have come up with the idea but it seems inspired by something she has watched. Oh and Fearless, you can definitely borrow her. She is amazing, brilliant, kind....and also, how shall we put this, kind of diabolically strong willed. So we certainly have our moments. Or hours, more like.
Grateful to only work a little bit yesterday. Grateful to embrace the Kafkaesque nature of the case we are in. As I mentioned earlier, the electronic filing system wouldn’t accept the things we killed ourselves over by the deadline. We thought we could submit in the morning but the court said no. If I wasn’t so exhausted I might be more upset.
Grateful it rained a bit yesterday and may rain more today. It’s been extremely dry.
Grateful we shouldn’t have storm damage like so much of the gulf coast/southern part of state. Hoping people are ok (haven’t checked the news or done my daily dose of doomscrolling so not sure yet).
Grateful for science, scientists and the greater weight of reliable evidence to help inform us.
Grateful for all the baked goods I continue to enjoy from my bday. Last night it was the most delicious strawberry rhubarb pie I’ve ever had, with some vanilla ice cream.
Grateful for this precious group.
