NC - slightly belated happy birthday! Only 30?! How absolutely wonderful to think in the years to come you'll know you have lived the greater part of your life sober. That's a gift you've given yourself. (Not wanting to be morose - and definitely not self-pitying - but I'll never be able to say that).
Rusty - glad that's treatment number 3 kicked into touch. Wishing you some good music this weekend.
Hev - no 'Hairdresser' in the list of female career options at your school?! I can only assume yours was a slightly classier institution than mine. Mind, that would actually have been a very lucrative option nowadays if the price I pay for a haircut is anything to go by! I LOVE the idea you thought I was going to a Who concert! I did, back in the day. And the Kinks, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Captain Beefheart. and dare I say Cliff, now Sir Cliff Richard.
Fearless - I think the whole travel thing is a real dilemma because there seems little doubt that this virus is not going away any time soon. We're risking the airport tomorrow but we are going somewhere very remote so we feel that the risk is small once we get there.
NL - 4 times? Lovely. I remember those days well, even 30 odd years later. It does get better eventually but I don't think you ever sleep 'normally' again once you've had children. The again, perhaps the booze didn't help.
courage - thank you for the link. Nice to start the day with a smile.
Aly, a bit of negativity is in order when necessary. You've not been lucky with those particular medical appointments.
Hope you have a decent weekend Daisy after your somewhat trying week. Is your son still on the mend?
You always post your gratitude for sobriety least, FBL and mags. That always makes me think YES everything else is just the icing on the cake. Grateful for being sober.

Grateful for a morning off.
Thankful on the whole to be going away with family for a week tomorrow. Bit apprehensive about the airport but once there the destination is very people free. And you never know, it just might not be raining. Hope to be checking in still because we should have internet access.
Grateful that a 'play date' for this afternoon has been cancelled. I don't want to overreact to events but it is a worry now trying to decide how much socialising to do especially with relatively unknown people who've recently been on holiday. I can always find something to worry about! Still I can now eat the mini cupcakes I bought.
Grateful as ever to be catching up with you all and for this thread. Since it's Friday I shall wish you all a lovely sober weekend.

Grateful for my blessings.
Grateful for you all
Grateful for my husband, who is the sweetest, kindest man.
Grateful to be healthy and alive.

Grateful treatment went well, RZ.
Grateful Hev enjoyed the beautiful snow. I still find snow so mesmerisingly beautiful - the glimmer and sparkle of a fresh coat of undisturbed snow is magical. Grateful that there were no 3am wake ups - the worst. Good for you starting an exercise routine and a realistic one at that; much more likely to make a habit of something reasonable than what most people do by starting with something punishing, keeping it up for 3 days and then quitting (something of which I've definitely been guilty in the past!).
Grateful for Aly's shared love of horses. I'm lucky that my boy isn't a bucker - the only time he ever gave a little butt action was at a show when the guy giving me a leg up accidentally flung me a little too zealously and I landed on his butt and he gave a little reactive mini-buck to whoosh me off! haha
Grateful Least has Billie and both are enjoying the nice weather. Thank you for the birthday wish
Grateful Fearless has such a calming garden in which to zen out. Sounds spectacular, Fearless.
Grateful for Courage.
Grateful for you, too, Mags! Thank you so much for the sweet birthday message - I love the balloons emoji!
Thank you also, Rose, for your lovely message. Yes, I have to say I am so happy to be entering my thirties sober and working on being a good person and to leave the misdirection and errors of my late teens - mid twenties behind. I love that you've been to see all the legends in concert, Rose. I still have a preference for bands of previous generations. I saw the Rolling Stones about 15 years ago and it was amazing. I've seen ACDC, Guns n Roses, Bruce Springsteen etc. also and at the risk of sounding cliche, they just don't make musicians the way they used to! Having said that though, there are some more contemporary artists that I do love, such as Lana del Rey and First Aid Kit. I hope you have a wonderful trip!
Grateful for FBL.

Have a wonderful, sober weekend everyone

Happy happy BDAY NC!! And sorry I missed saying that yesterday but so glad for you that you found sobriety when you did.
Grateful for Aly and those who stand up for themselves when it is needed.
Grateful for RZ’s ornithological observations (and agree with Hev those seem to have migrated pretty nearly every where).
Grateful for facts and those who love them.
Grateful for Friday.
Grateful this headache is not due to drinking.
Grateful for dedicated staff of long term care facilities, hospitals, emergency medical departments and epidemiologists, among others.
Grateful for all of you and your positivity.

RZ, glad your treatment went well and you are running the estate sale
NCJ, congrats again. So great you got sober as young as you did and didn’t wait until you became an old hen like me. I missed out on so much. But grateful I am where I am in my journey now
Rose, glad you are staying in a remote place. We have until 4/2 to decide. If we cancel, it’s not like we’ll never have another opportunity. We’ll just put it off a year. We might still travel but stay local and remote. We’ve talked about going to Yosemite again. Maybe splurging and staying in the big lodge there.
Grateful for a much better night sleep. Not more than six hours but totally uninterrupted and I am grateful for that
Grateful to be wide eyed and bushy tailed
Grateful for my things to do list(s) right in my phone notes
Grateful for a bacon Gouda egg breakfast sammie
Grateful for a massage last night
Grateful to be planning to go to a new meditation class tonight
Grateful for all those experts working overtime on helping to contain and treat Covid 19
Grateful so much for each of you

Rose - Oh, yes...hairdresser. (They weren't Beauticians quite yet.)
I love all those bands! Have a fun trip.
Fearless - I guess if you'd be cautious & worried the whole time it would be better to put off a trip you're unsure of - but it's so unfair.
Aly - Brave girl to get the dental work over with - I always dread it, but I know dentistry is much improved from 'back in my day'.
NC - I saw Springsteen when he was at the Stone Pony in New Jersey long before he made it big. MrH loves ACDC. I don't know First Aid Kit - I better google. Happy Birthday again, sweet lady.
Grateful for every post, long or short....they all mean something to me.
Grateful to have chipmunks come out of the ground to compete with the birds for seed. It must be spring.
Grateful for understanding & compassion - wish there was more of it.
Happy Friday everyone.

Grateful I saw the Who and Liam Gallagher when they were in SF a while ago. They were awesome. 3 hour show, with an hour of Tommy tunes. So grateful to hear them again. I'd forgotten how awesome that album was, I was very young when they made the movie and I snuck in to see it anyway when we lived in Chicago. Wow. The movie was kind of intense for a very young kid, but always loved the music.
Grateful for all the interesting and wonderful things all of our sobriety has brought us.
Grateful Rusty is handling another estate sale. I too am hoping you're up for some music this weekend.
Grateful for my shift at ARF tonight. Grateful my doctor called in something very mild, but it helps in time for my shift, I had to threaten mayhem. Grateful to be weaning off gabapentin. Still struggling a bit, but slowly getting better. So grateful for even a little better!
Grateful for the wonderful posts this morning and so great to see all of you this morning.
Grateful for my sobriety too!
Love and peace to anyone struggling or suffering today. ♥♥♥

Aly, I remember sneaking in to Tommy, too. The thing with the baked beans made a permanent impression!?!?!?

Grateful that nowadays I can remember good as well as bad.

Grateful I found my cat, sleeping under the gap in the back of the sofa. Not like her to not come for grub when I call her. Hoping she’s not poorly.
Grateful for sobriety, I wish I’d found it earlier too Fearless, but we got there eventually, something to be proud of.
Grateful for all of you
Grateful for the internet.

Grateful my ARF shift went really well. I worked so hard. I don't think very many people were in to do laundry. I got a lot done. I stayed late until my back couldn't take it anymore. Grateful I love it there.
Grateful for my sobriety.
Grateful for all the wonderful people here.
Love and peace to all my Grat Pack friends. ♥♥♥

Grateful to take Billie for a long walk in the sunshine. Grateful to watch her just 'being a dog' and enjoying her sniffing time.
