Grateful DIL was dug out and is off to work early. It was very nice of my Gson to help her.
Grateful I am training for new P/T job today. Few hours and low pay but it’s better than sitting around stewing. I’m retired from the Postal Service so can only make so much a year. I’m very grateful I made it 30 years to retire!
Rusty I hope all goes well with your port. If they put it off a few days it will be fine. I had a PIC line for my treatment. I despised the damn thing!
Grateful for strong coffee and everyone here.

Grateful for all the inspiration from you all. Sometimes I wake up after a poor night of sleep and feel so tired and blah, then I read your posts and feel energized and positive. Though I’m still hoping to get a nap in later
Courage, love what you said about the many life possibilities vs certainty of a single drink
FBL, so glad you are here with us, our very own recovery celebrity
Numblady, good luck with the new boss this week
RZ, that is a bummer. Hopefully there won’t be too much of a delay and you can still get the port this week. Hope you are feeling well.
Grateful for coffee and especially the fact that it is made special and brought to me every morning by Mr F when I wake up
Grateful sonny boy found his rain jacket and is finally willing to wear it. All last year, any time it rained, he refused to wear anything except a sweatshirt and shorts. It has been pouring all weekend and not expected to let up until Wed, so I’m grateful he is finally coming around
Grateful for my cogs and especially this morning the cuteness of Charlie marking and laying on sonny boys music sheets. What is it with cats and paper? Grateful for the little shelter area we have for orange tabby
Grateful to be proactive and patient for results
Grateful for each of you and this journey we are on together

Fearless thank you for your lovely posts. I love that your cogs and that you care about animals too. Sonny boy sounds so adorable. Glad he's venturing out and licking turkey and sweet potatoes! So cute.
Grateful to be up and doing laundry. I'll be glad to get it over with. I need a nap. Then I have to vacuum. The fun never ends!
Grateful so much for all of you and your uplifting posts. All my love to each of you!

Numblady - Your plan to wait until summer is a good one. This gives new boss time to prove him/herself. It does seem you have one foot out the door already - their loss, I'm sure.
Zip - I'm sorry that happened. Accepting is everything, though.
Imv - I hope you enjoy the new job - I know what you mean about sitting around stewing.
Fearless - Proactive & patient - I need to work on that.
Grateful for neighbor who plowed our driveway when we weren't home.
Grateful we don't have to go anywhere in this ice & snow.
Grateful for the ebb & flow of life.
Grateful for your part in my sobriety.

Grateful to have RZ as a role model for acceptance and serenity.
Grateful MKLove is here with us.
Grateful for Fearless’ reminder of cats and their obsession with laying on pieces of paper. Or maybe that’s just mine.
Grateful to be forcing myself to go back to the super early workout today even if I REALLY do not feel like it.
Grateful to be here with you all, if only briefly.

Grateful and relieved my son called yesterday. It relieved a lot of stress. Grateful I got out yesterday after a week of snow and cabin fever.
Grateful for daycare! GD and I needed a break from each other. It’s been 20 years since I had a little one full time.
Grateful to be able to pick up a friend for the noon women’s meeting.
Grateful for SR.

RZ, good luck today!
Hev, yes - being proactive and then wait patiently. The patient part is what is hard for me. I’m also working on acceptance. My therapist used to remind me that we can only control our actions, not outcomes.
Grateful for serenity and sick man prayer. I need to say these prayers every day
Grateful to get back to Day 1 of healthy eating and taking better care of myself (emotionally and physically). Jeans are a little tight 😐
Grateful for my early morning workout routine
Grateful that even though the front shattered window is still not fixed because the glass company is behind on orders, it is still in place and I’ve come to look at it as if it were a beautiful piece of stained glass art
Grateful for my sobriety
Grateful for each of you and all we share.

Grateful to be sober.
Grateful to have a clear mind to manage difficult work situations.
Grateful to have been reminded of how much I have improved as a person since embracing sobriety. The AV has been whispering pretty loudly of late and taking advantage of a low period emotionally, which has thankfully shifted now. Then I heard two separate drinking stories at the weekend which made me so, so grateful that I did not give in and reminding me of the realities of a life with alcohol. My husband had his tennis finals followed by the club Christmas party. The club is pretty fancy and the members are pretty well-to-do. I stayed for an hour after the tennis finals and then left to go home early as I wanted to be fresh the next morning for my own riding competition. It turns out not long after I left, everyone got pretty wasted and one lady got up on a table to dance and took her shirt off in front of everyone at the party. She is a successful business owner herself and her husband works at the club (he wasn't present on the night) and the reputational damage is significant. I am not judging her one bit, rather I feel so incredibly sorry for her because I know that in my drinking days, I embarrassed myself with inappropriate behaviour at events too. When I heard about it, all I could do was thank my stars that i haven't given in to the AV and its falsehoods, and feel so incredibly grateful for all of you here for your wisdom and encouragement.

Grateful that Courage is restful.
Grateful that Mags reminded me to appreciate the little things.
Grateful MkLove is here with us.
Grateful always for my OG classmate, NL.
Grateful for FBL's post.
Grateful Valentine's son called yesterday.
Grateful for RZ's humour and wisdom.
Grateful Fearless is taking care of herself. Good luck with the healthy eating! Self care is so important.

Grateful, so grateful, to all of you, always

Mk - We'll always be grateful to see you.
NC - The Christmas party story made me cringe. Drinking turned me into a reckless person - the exact opposite of my true self. I'm glad you departed before it got ridiculous.
Zip - Hoping for a good day today! Prayers always.
Daisy - A great outcome for g.son. I know you're proud.
Fearless - My jeans aren't tight. They're impossible to put on - even lying on the bed. I was doing so well until T-Day happened.
Grateful for the sun shining on the newly fallen snow. Diamonds.
Grateful for humor & tolerance.
Grateful for our daily meeting here.
