Aly, I am sorry you will miss your volunteer partner! I’m glad you find so much purpose from your volunteer work. It’s such a great cause and i hope someday I can get back to volunteer work at the humane society here. I did it long ago before my son was born.
Grateful to have gone back to sleep after waking up at 2 am. Still, grateful to be up early
Grateful to have a busy day planned starting with a run then a healthy breakfast and doing some paperwork today
Grateful mr F is taking sonny boy to karate then shopping
Grateful for our little family in the computer (thanks for that, least)

Thank you everyone for the congratulations on 600 days! I think the best part was that I wasn't even aware of it til I read something that made me wonder how many days I was at, and looked at the app on my phone, and it was a day or two behind me. Every day is a blessing, but I'm grateful that not every day (very few days, in fact) are a struggle anymore.

Grateful to head down south for a winter solstice celebration tonight and to meet up with my lady friend.

Grateful to then head to New Mexico and Arizona for about two weeks after that.

Grateful Henry can come with me. Normally he resents long vacations because he gets left behind!

Grateful for all of you in this great grat pack.

Deserto - I was wondering about the LF but was afraid to ask. Hoping you & Henry have a lovely time.
Yes, that's how it was for me - the days I struggled became fewer, until they faded into nothingness for the most part.
Fearless - That'll be nice - to return to volunteering. Good for you-you'll be a blessing.
Grateful the sun is shining on the snow.
Grateful shopping is done....and now I tackle all that wrapping.
Grateful for a cheerful, upbeat husband.
Grateful for stuff to look forward to in the brand new 2020. I remember how we were all concerned with "Y2K" - how could that be 20 yrs. ago?
Grateful for your company, always.

Grateful for a busy shift, but I got a lot done. Of course, my back is sore, but it is worth it. Grateful a friend brought an adorable black pair, brother and sister. The sweet things. I hope they get adopted as a bonded pair.
Thank you Fearless, my friend.
Grateful my niece and nephews pretty much want money for Christmas, who doesn't, then I got a couple of things for various other people. I'm pretty much done. Maybe I'll only have to see them xmas eve. The twins are going to Breckenridge with their new snowboards and their friends. Oh well, I think Daisy told me I can stand one day with my toolbox.
Grateful for all of you everyday. Nice to see Hev back and all the rest of you.
Have a peaceful, sober day! ♥♥♥

Courage - 12 hrs. sleep....oh, I am envious. (Did my 3am wakeup again.)
Zip - you are wise. The mobs will be out there from now on.
Numb - I'm with you on the lousy sleep. Hope your day improves.
Grateful to be going to church today - been meaning to for ages.
Grateful for the deer who visit our yard every day - it'll be slim pickings soon.
Grateful for the kind people who make sure those in need have food & clothing - & toys.
Grateful for your lovely company every day.

Courage - you might have set a record there. 12 hours of sleep! Sublime.

NL - hope you're safely in Arkansas. Hope also that I've remembered that correctly. If I haven't, then I hope you are not there! Back to tedious restless nights here too. But maybe tonight will be better for us both.

Fearless - hope your day worked out as planned because it sounded really good. I am not a runner but if I start the day with a proper walk it really sets the day up well.

Deserto - what promising sounding plans you have for the next couple of weeks. I'm very glad Henry gets to come too.

Hev -I hear you on the wrapping! I've done half of it for those whose presents had to be given early but the rest is still to do. How can it possibly take so long? Why is it so boring? Do I marginally prefer ironing? I have no answers to any of those questions.

Aly - I shall be thinking of you over Christmas and sending you my best virtual vibes for a peaceful, even enjoyable, day. Which you deserve.

least - hope billie gets an extra little treat for Christmas dinner. And Mags and Daisy, hope your lovely cats do too. I feel sure they all will!

Rusty - three cheers for us! My Christmas food shopping is now all done as well. I was thinking that this time last year you couldn't have anticipated what you've had to face this year. So I just wanted to say I admire how well you've coped with it. Music all the way is the way to go.

Grateful to reflect on the fact that this Christmas I won't be spending a small fortune on wine. I didn't have money in my mind at all when I stopped drinking, but looking back, it is horrifying to think how much I would have spent over the last six months had I not entered the new sane world of sobriety,
Thankful to see there seem to be one or two good things to watch on TV over the next few days. For UK posters I saw a really good programme on BBC the night before last on how Kirsty Maccoll and The Pogues came to make Fairtytale of New York. Worth seeing on Catch-up if only to see the always entertaining Shane MacGowan!
Thankful to think there are no more chores, other than wrapping presents, to face before Christmas Day. When there will be plenty.
Grateful, as always, to be sharing thoughts and grats with you all.

Wow, courage! Good for you!
Numblady, I hope you get some sleep and feel better soon
Aly, take care of that back
Deserto, so glad you can take Henry with you
Grateful to say Hi to everyone else

Grateful for Daisy. I know she has been busy and not feeling well. Thinking of you, Daisy!
Grateful the little bird who flew into our window head first died pretty much instantly and did not suffer long . Grateful Mr F is going to put up some reflector thingies to prevent this from happening again.
Grateful for the rain
Grateful sonny boy is going to a birthday party today
Grateful for quirky, funny, smart and caring friends
Grateful for each of you

Straight from the National Institutes of Health: that night I was at the 99.9th percentile on total sleep time for a healthy (?) person in middle age. In a 2015 study, the average total sleep time among middle-aged participants over a period of 14 days was 415 minutes, with a standard deviation of 58.5. For those who want to know more, see https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4342722/.

Grateful to watch the water pass under the bridge.

Hoping Daisy is well. I know she was dealing with a lot. Love to you Daisy.
Rose, thank you so much for remembering me.
Fearless, you know just the right thing to say. I have to get the vacuuming done today and my back is not being nice to me from doing two weeks of tough shifts and I picked up an extra one. I'll take some aspirin and stop feeling sorry for myself. Grateful we have a vacuum to clean up after our lovely rescue German Shedder. German Shepherds really shed, more than other dogs I've had! And grateful for my volunteer work.
I cannot believe it's almost xmas eve. It really flew up on me. I have all the presents I'm going to get, but I need to get them ready to give. I wish I could go to Breckenridge with my nephews. Grateful they'll have a great time with their friend playing fb at Air Force snowboarding and fun things. His dad is a gourmet chef, so they eat very well up there.
Grateful for today. A chance for me to catch up.
So grateful for all of you everyday.
