Grateful for being sober, always
Grateful for having SR and Grat Pack on my sober journey

Numblady - I loved what you said about alcohol no longer truncating but still sometimes clouding your vision. So well put and so true. And you took 4 kids out to dinner on your own? Now that is impressive.

Rusty - hope y'all had a great get together!.

Citrus - 13 days, aka nearly a fortnight. I found that first couple of weeks really hard so you have my warm and heartfelt congratulations.

ImValentine - can only agree completely with you on hot coffee. And tea, in my case but maybe not in yours? I always assume tea is more a UK thing.

least - I've nver heard of a minute clinic. Assuming it is what it sounds like, we could stand some of those here.

Glad you had a good night's sleep Aly and I'll try not to be jealous!. Hopeless night for me with the attendant four in the morning wake ups. Still, mercifully nothing to do with alcohol anymore and maybe tonight will be better. And very frightening to be so close to potential fires. Really hope the winds drop soon.

Courage me too, on my sisters.

I have since discovered the desserts were Caneles with an accent over the second e, Mags. Highly recommend!

Grateful we finally had the most beautiful autumn day here yesterday with no rain and a lot of sun. Great for walking.
Grateful to have some really beautiful green spaces close by for walking. Makes it easy to put to one side, temporarily, the fact that London is a very crowded and somewhat polluted city.
Thankful to have done a lot of boring stuff including some ironing. Don't think I'll wear any of the ironed stuff at least until Christmas since I can't face ironing again this year!
Grateful my granddaughter and family are coming home today. Enough of restaurants and socialising with adults. Herald the return of toddler swimming and nursery rhymes.
Sorry to copy you,, Hev but me too. Grateful for this special place.

Grateful I kept my plans with friends for dinner last night.
Grateful no one was focused on drinking though over the course of a couple hours people had ONE to two drinks. amazing.
Grateful to get tired of feeling so overwhelmed so I tried being in a better mood on for size.
Grateful to try to be of service.
Grateful for all of you.

I am very grateful DIL came home last night and I did get some sleep. Not enough but every minute counts.
Grateful the snow is manageable to shovel.
Grateful for a warm place to live in this 12 degree weather. Praying for everyone in CA affected by the wind and fires. I can’t imagine the stress and horror of it.
Rose I like tea also but coffee is a necessity.
Grateful to have SR to start my day.

least - I've nver heard of a minute clinic.
It's just another name for an Urgent Care clinic. It's in his drugstore and open later than a doctor's office would be.

Grateful to wake up sober.

Zip - Most def all about the bass.
Rose - On my mother's side my family can be traced back to the 1500's - mostly from Sheffield, so I'm sure I have a bit of tea in my veins. I got in the habit of drinking coffee with MrH - but I need to get back to my tea.
Thanks for the reminder - it's time for my semi-annual ironing.
Imvalentine - I'm glad you could relax & get some sleep. Worry is a killer, & my biggest problem.
Snow already - my sympathies. We'll probably start next month.
Numblady - One to two drinks. Never heard of it.
Grateful for the serenity of my surroundings.
Grateful the woodpeckers are eating all the annoying insects.
Grateful for music, movies, & books. Much needed distractions that provide a little vaca from our thoughts.
Grateful for each of you - thanks for getting my morning off to a positive start.

Grateful for a big mug of herbal tea as it got so cold here overnight. Bit of a chill in the house this morning.
Grateful my boys got up and on the bus with little fuss for a Monday.
Grateful my hubby does so much to provide for us.
Grateful I have some knitting to work on and a good audiobook.
Grateful for feeling mentally better today than yesterday.
Grateful for the money saved from 14 days sober.
Grateful my hubby has been sober as well (no beer on the house makes it much easier).

Grateful for a lovely (though quick!) weekend in Hollywood, playing the tourist. Gorgeous southern California weather -- there's a reason 20 million people live there.

Grateful for 18 months sober on Saturday.

Grateful to go get my 18 month chip from my home group at noon today.

Hello fellow grat packers! I am quickly checking in as I still have a little juice in my iPad. Out of power for almost two days now and may come back on but may go off again for another wind event.
Grateful for a local Starbucks with partial power to use WiFi. Grateful for community coming together. Grateful for candles, batteries and ice, and resources. Grateful only some of our food has spoiled. Grateful all of my friends who have evacuated are safe. Grateful for emergency alert system and firefighters. Grateful that though it is feeling apocalyptic where i am, I have not had a drink. I’ve had a few urges but staying strong. Grateful to be calm in the midst of chaos

Grateful to be able to have coffee still in the morning. It’s a little bit like camping.

Aly, And anyone else in No CA, hope you are ok. Please stay in place and safe!,

Grateful for Fearless and her kindness to our other NorCal family. My gratitude as well. I esp feel for Fearless and her lack of power. I almost hate to say anything, but so far we still have our power, but in fear of losing it! Prayers to anyone in danger and has to evacuate. What a horrifying thing to go through.
Prayers for us and anyone person or animal suffering in this horrific fire storm, and to keep the Cal-Fire fireman safe (not the same as our local fire people at all). Grateful for and God bless all of the volunteers and volunteer inmates helping Cal Fire with these devastating fires.
Grateful for all of you and NorCal, knowing what we are all going through. It can be a nightmare in a very beautiful and populated areas of CA. Grateful for any prayers or good vibes anyone can take a minute to say one for all of Northern Cal, it sure would be appreciated.
Love to all. Glad Rusty made do with out his bass pedal. Rhythm sections is what it's all about, right! Have a great day all. ♥♥♥

Grateful that the first snow of the season is only sticking to the grass and not the roads.

Grateful for another day sober.

Prayers for the safety of people and other living things in NoCal and thanks for those working to protect them.
Grateful RZ still has his zip even if the thump and the oomph were temporarily misplaced.
Grateful for all the information about genealogy out there. I don’t have time to look into it but it’s cool Hev and others can trace their ancestry back.
Grateful for tea. Rose I don’t drink it like I do coffee but I definitely appreciate it. We actually lived in England a long time ago for a short while for my dad to try and play professional soccer. Since then my parents have been pretty loyal tea drinkers.
Grateful for the many people who are willing to put themselves in harm’s way to protect others every day.
Grateful my husband is being supportive of my need to travel for work.
Grateful we can afford to outsource some of our parenting when necessary because we don’t have family around.
Grateful a conversation with someone I was dreading at work helped me put myself a little more in check (hopefully!)
Grateful for a good memory.
Grateful for this special place and all of you in it.

I’m grateful DIL went off to work and is feeling better today.
Grateful my temp job ended yesterday. The monotony and schedule were getting to me. That came along when needed and something else will turn up.
Grateful I have a hair appointment and therapist appointment scheduled this morning. I still try to mentally justify it but self care is necessary and needed without feeling like I have to make it up to others.
Grateful for SR.
