Grateful for an early sober Sunday morning with no hangover or guilt.
Grateful that though I couldn't sleep and ended up getting up at silly o clock it wasn't due to drinking.
Grateful for this quiet time to myself.
Grateful Lulucat is sat beside me sucking my dressing gown sleeve cuff!!!
Grateful to have a wash load in.
Grateful to have a bit of clarity in my mind this morning.
Grateful for warm clothes and central heating.
Grateful for coffee.
Grateful Imvalentine's last check up went well.
Grateful Fearless got a good flight deal. Fearless I was referring to my live in G,son being good at Math, G.son no 1. aka young Sheldon is also exceptionally good at math. They don't get it from me!
Grateful Hevyn's deep freeze has gone for now. Not so grateful that it's freezing here.
Grateful Aly can now fold towels, Lol.
Grateful I have have a full stock of Yorkshire tea bags.
Grateful Rose has taken up reading again.
Grateful for being educated by Numblady on Rilke's poems, you learn something every day.
Mags I'm totally defeated by trying to fold fitted bottom sheets, I've given up.
Grateful for the humour and empathy found here.
Grateful for all of you. xxx

I didn't wake up feeling grateful for anything I have to say - 3 hours awake in the early hours, headcold - but now I'm on here I've got over myself.

Numblady - that's a very beautiful poem and it has been interesting also reading what various literary critics had to say about it. Whenever I read poetry that I find moving/poignant, I wonder why I don't make a point of reading poetry more often. Time to improve on that.

Hev - I said it in the 24 hour thread but now I'm saying it here too. Happy Birthday.

Grateful to have adopted the system of rolling towels. Which I've tried but failed to apply to fitted bottom sheets!
More than thankful to be sitting here with an excellent cup of tea.
Grateful for a bright(ish) day and no big commitments to stop me taking a walk out.
Grateful to be sober and, dare I say it, for that to be something that's become 'just' a part of my life.
Extremely thankful to be checking in with all you fun, funny, caring, busy and optimistic morning Grat packers. Nice way to start the day.

Rose, hmm now I’ve got to go check out what the critics say. It was fun trying to read it in German. Words are so unique in their meaning within a language (well, some are pretty universal I guess, like food). Wish I had time to hunt down some of the words I no longer remember....but alas. Duty calls and I’m back to the office as soon as I can get my act together.
Grateful that when I passed out last night — either from exhaustion or from some restaurant proprietor accidentally slipping me decaf in my Thai coffee — my husband came in and told me to just go to bed. He took care of getting both kids to bed, and doing one of my chores. I fell asleep before 9, after chugging a Coca Cola to try and stay awake.
Grateful I’m going to make a little window of time for myself and do yoga this morning.
Grateful for all the people working on this big lawsuit with me.
Grateful to spend a bit of time to get in a grocery order last night, and just do a few household things like pay bills and figure out some plans and just generally do things other than work for a little spell until I fell asleep.
Grateful for a little bit of time yesterday to join the girls empowerment conference my daughter and some of her friends attended. I was still having to work but in one of the sessions we had to participate so I had to shut down my computer and stop looking at my phone! It was encouraging to be with all the young minds.
Grateful for my daughter’s confidence and outgoing nature.
Grateful for this day to be of service.
Grateful for this pack!

Thanks for the good wishes. Hev is teetering perilously close to being quite 'seasoned'.
We have company today so I'm just slipping in to say I am grateful for all of you!

Hi fellow gratpackers! It’s morning somewhere. Just stopping in for a quick hello because it’s a busy day and will be a busy week. I will go back later to catch up on posts. Happy birthday Hev! Numblady, I love those quotes. Grateful for all the humor, clever wit, depth, friendship, support and everything we share here through our sobriety. Xo

Grateful to step away from the computer for a while yesterday — and to take my daughter and a friend to our beautiful central library (seriously; you should look up pics —it’s so nice).
Grateful for 10 minutes where I sat out on the screened in “reading porch” and just sipped my coffee and just took some breaths while overlooking the lake and the trees.
Grateful that all of my work colleagues and I are driving up to the bloodletting (hearing) together—in my mini van no less!
Grateful to be up and at ‘em early.
Grateful to be here amidst the grat packers.

p.s. Happy happy BD, Hev!!! I think I’m a day late but sentiment is the same.
