Fearless - good luck with the dreaded meeting and hooray for the coming weekend. And like everyone else so very glad to hear the fires are completely contained. We had sort of the opposite here last night: some extraordinary flooding in parts of the UK yesterday. Not in London but still I'm grateful for the Thames Barrier and, as Mags said, the new flood defences on the Trent bank and elsewhere.

Mags - glad the hospital appointments are underway (slowly).

Hi Juliet - Like you and FBL, grateful also and always to be sober.

Grateful for a very relaxing day yesterday and an invigorating walk. It was the weather that made it invigorating btw not anything ambitious I did. In fact now I think about it it might more closely have resembled a trudge rather than a walk.
Grateful for another day off today which includes an excellent(?) opportunity to do some Christmas shopping.
Ultra thankful for yet another good night's sleep. Two in a row! Amazing how transformative that is.
Extremely grateful that we now seem to be illness free in my family. Long may it last and let's hope the god of jinxing isn't reading this.
Grateful I wasn't in the Piccadilly Theatre the other night when the ceiling collapsed. I was there only a few days previously. Looking forward to going to the theatre this evening, especially given it's not an old Victorian building!

Grateful my oncology appointment went well. I’m certified alive!
Grateful I’m not doing the daycare run today and will have a few hours to myself. Nice weather forecast so hoping to rake and clean the patio up before another blast of winter hits.
Grateful nobody was injured in daughter-in-law’s dui fiasco. Grateful my Gdaughter was not in the car. I’m worn out dealing with the effects of active alcoholics in action.

Grateful to be back from Nevada. Man, that was a lot of driving.

Grateful I don't drink anymore. The casino was like all casinos, a feeling of being in a sad state of suspended animation. I played roulette for about half an hour, enjoyed the buffet, and then retired to my room for some bad reality TV. (Temptation Island doesn't seem like the type of place you want your life to end up, btw.)

Grateful to be up early and loading up the car with Henry to head down to Canyon de Chelly for the weekend and meet up with my lady friend.

Grateful we'll have a lovely moon this weekend.
