I am grateful for life

Today was a bad day but it always gets better. I'm grateful for 7 amazing months of sobriety and finding myself again. I'm grateful that when it got really tough today I looked for the nearest meeting. I'm grateful we've been given the opportunity to live in a new country and learn a whole new culture. I'm grateful that when no one was at the meeting I didn't break, I saw it as a great walk in my new town and the sunset was so beautiful. I'm grateful I'm in the best shape of my life with my new found love for yoga and long walks with my dog. I'm grateful that I no longer see drinking as a solution but now have the freedom to live. I'm grateful I found this site so I don't have to be alone on this journey. Lastly, i'm grateful for all the new friends I'm about to find.

Good for you Llama. Whatever you are doing, keep it up. :You_Rock_

Remember, both good times and bad times have their own perils. Keep your highs low, and your lows high.

Thank you all for your encouraging words. I hope Monday's don't become a pattern of being my lowest days but I'm still trying to find my tribe. I just recently left my old scrabble group and i'm still adjusting to finding my right group of people where I can fully feel like myself. Sometimes the only thing that keeps me going is knowing that I don't think I have another recovery left in me.
