Buying 5 bottles of wine.

I am grateful for not being in this situation anymore. I was behind a guy in line at the local drug store who was buying 5 bottles of mediocre wine(it was about 4 or 5 pm on a weekday). The cashier told him he gets 10% off if he buys 6 bottles. He comment that it was to late now but next time he will.

I am grateful that I'm no longer the first one at the store when it opened to get my wine. Glad those days are gone.

Yea, I've been up to a 7-11 once and was told they dont start selling booze till 8 am. Also stopped once on my way home from dropping off my daughter at school. Thankful/grateful I am not there now. I was buying a pint one morning at the store by my boat and the guy behind me commented "oh getting an early lunch ha" the cashier rudely said no hes getting breakfast. Needless to say I was mad about it. I said I was not going to drink it right away, just getting it now because I was going to be out on the boat all day and there was no store out there. That was a lie(I have about a dozen bottles in the bar on board), I was actually on my way home from sleeping on the boat. Grateful to not be there. Also my boat is up for sale and not in the water this year. Truth is I was/had been drinking to much for it to be safe and not sober/motivated enough to rig all the sails and mast up. Now with a month sober I may not sell it and get back into sailing next year. Grateful.

Glad that's not me either. Tho, he might just be having people over - or it would be just an off-handed comment for a non-alcoholic....

I spent many mornings trying to look like I wasn't waiting outside for the liquor store to open so I have a lot of empathy for people still struggling like that.
