RZ, ha. Thanks for the smile that crossed my lips with the late night comment.

Grateful for the mega sized ice cream cone I got when I was at the water park. Forgot to say that part. I told myself I could just get whatever ridiculous dessert I wanted, and I did just that. I wish I was to the point that I also didn’t sometimes reward myself with food but I feel like my footing is too precarious in sobriety still.
Grateful for this forum and to be able to come here and be honest and tell people when I’m struggling.
Grateful my husband and kids are going out of town for 6 days without me! I’m sure I will miss them too but I am giddy at the prospect of a clean house, quiet, only looking after myself, catching up at work, getting household stuff done, etc.
Grateful my daughter’s recital is today. She’s been having a lot of big feelings so hoping this will help get some of them ... well, felt, I suppose.
Grateful that although I had one of the only confrontations I can remember with my mom in my adult life yesterday, we worked through it and I feel better...mostly...
Grateful for all of you.

Love it, Zip.
Numblady - 6 days to yourself sounds lovely. We all need that at times.
Aly - I remember when nothing was open on Sunday at all. Showing my age.
Grateful I've slept 4 nights in a row without waking up at 3am.
Grateful I can think of Jackpot (my Lab who passed) without pain. It's taken 6 mos.
Grateful to shake off negativity more easily these days.

Hevyn, Grateful you slept well and did not wake up at 3 am. I used to do that sometimes and it is difficult.
Grateful you can remember JackPot without pain. Sometimes it takes a while. I had a Doberman, Baron, who was the best dog I've ever had and we've had quite a few, all rescues. It took me years before I could even think about getting another dog.
Grateful for you, Hev. Your post are alway great! ♥

Aly, our shops don’t open till 10am on sundays too, though I remember, like Hev, when they didn’t open at all on a Sunday!

Grateful Hev can think of Jack without pain. :hug;

Grateful for being sober
Grateful for the quiet morning. I can’t hear the birds though, I don’t mind them breaking through with the morning chorus.
Grateful for everyone here, sharing our gratitude.

Grateful to be starting my momcation . Funny how you can’t wait to have the house to yourself but the minute your kids leave you miss them.
Grateful for my son and his friend riding bikes around our area over the weekend. The pride and excitement they felt at having some independence filled my heart. They went to the library, a Starbucks and the grocery store. Came back swilling root beer and with plans to go dumpster diving on their next adventure. Gross but age appropriate.
Grateful for my amazing sister. She is younger but it’s like she has her s together so much that she’s the older one. She even helps my parents get their own acts together. She’s great about setting boundaries but also giving to those she loves. Maybe when I grow up I can be more like her
Grateful (??) we got up before 4 a.m. to get the other family members on their plane. This will allow me to get into work very early and start the catch-up/reintegration to reality process.
Grateful that feelings pass, particularly the negative ones. Working through some stuff and it had begun to feel like drinking again was inevitable. But it was fleeting. Still have some work to do obvy but immediate pall is lifted.
Grateful for a place to come and lay bare some of my worries.
Grateful for all the quit lit and recovery related resources this site and the www give me in general.
Grateful for this day and all the opportunity it holds to be of service.

Grateful to be up early and doing laundry.
Grateful Numblady's son is having so much fun on his bike. I remembered when my dad first taught me to ride. SO much fun.
Grateful, that although I still have a fair amount pain, that I feel really good in my head. Super grateful for this.
As always, grateful for all of you! Have a wonderful day all! ♥♥♥

Grateful that even though I didn’t sleep well and don’t feel well, it is not because of a hangover
Grateful for an experience seeing a mountain lion on a hike even though it has also overwhelmed me for some reason. Maybe because I think of what could have happened, and that Im not sure I would have been prepared
Grateful to have a full plate and lots of work this week to keep me responsibly occupied
Grateful for all of you
