Grateful for the full crew that showed up to work last night, we didn't have to overwork ourselves to manage the event.

Least, I hope all went well at the vet today with Billie. I left you a message. Thinking about you. ♥
Grateful I got to sleep in this morning. I do love my sleep.
Grateful that the sister that I try to stay in touch with, gave me a bunch or really cute shirts and a blazer. I think she tries sometimes to reach out. She lives in a small town at the base of our Mountain here and she owns a hair salon with another woman, it's beautiful, but her antics while drinking have a lot of people treating her badly, including the people at her hair salon. I guess her kids are too. I know this is something she has to go through and she really isn't doing any sort of a program or anything after rehab, no amends to anyone, nothing. Sometimes things have to very get bad before someone can accept that they have behaved in a horrifying manner for over a decade. So, I am remembering the Sick Man prayer for her. I will support her as much as I can and I guess anyone would feel badly for a sister going through what she is (most of it her fault) going through. Sigh.
Grateful for a quiet, somewhat restful day. Hoping the rest of the weekend is peaceful for me and all of you too.
Grateful and love and peace to all the wonderful people on this thread!!!♥♥♥

Fearless, I paint rocks too, I started last year, I love it. We have a U.K Facebook page and my town also has a page, we paint rock with quotes or pictures and a message on the back saying to take a pic, post them on the f.b page and re-hide them. I even did some on holiday in Greece last year, its very therapeutic.

Aly, I would give anything to have a lovely, caring sister like you. I always wanted a sister xxx

Grateful for another sober Saturday night.
Grateful to get online at last today.
Grateful g.son no.1 enjoyed his residential trip, no nastiness, just fun and happy memories. He was extremely tired, hoarse and smelly, don't think he'd had a shower or wash in 3 days, lol.
Grateful for a productive day.
Grateful to buy some reduced plants for my garden.
Grateful to get them all planted.
Grateful Mr D.B helped me.
Grateful to find some comfy sandals.
Grateful for a drama free day.
Grateful Least & Billie managed a productive walk.
Grateful Billie managed to see the vet, fingers and everything crossed she's okay.
Grateful for each and every one of you on this thread.

I think I may start painting rocks too. It sounds fun and I like the way they look. You all have the best ideas. I really use some of everyone's posts

I'm grateful that tomorrow I won't have to set up alarm and other than a little yardwork I think I can lay out by the pool all day and catch up on some reading.

Aly, prayers for your sister, that on God's time she will come to know the grace that we can all freely receive.

I just was at the end of an entire post, it was a good one and I lost it, so it wasn't meant to be, here goes:
Grateful, sincerely for all the kindness on this thread.♥
Grateful for Luke, so lucky to have adopted my big, wonderful German Shepherd w/ a little Great Dane mixed in there. He almost ran after a cat today and I just said NO and he ran back to me. That's a good dog. ♥
Daisy, thank you. You mean the world to me! ♥
I hope you all are having a peaceful, fun weekend. ♥
Love and peace to all and esp anyone suffering or struggling in anyway. ♥♥♥

Aly, I hope that your sister one day sees the light. I have a brother that has blazed his own path and it is one that I do not agree with. He seems content so my chances of changing him are slim.

Astro, I'm with you. I've pulled out all of my bushes, cleaned up the yard, and power washed the house. Tomorrow I will be a sober beach bum.

least, I am glad that Billie's vet visit went well.

Grateful that tomorrow is a free day to relax and enjoy.
Grateful to show respect to all of my family members that have served in the military.
Grateful that my chores are done. (Are they ever really done?)
Grateful to be surrounded by positive posters. Life is never perfect but a positive attitude goes a long way. Thanx to you all.

Thank you, FightOn. I have been in the process of trying to detach from her, only because the whole situation was so full of horror and hostility toward me that i just could not be around any of it. She's a bit better lately, but does not want to look at anything she's done, believe me, it's a lot, big time bad drunken behavior. I guess it's none of my business. I feel for the kids. Like you said, slim to no chance of me changing her. ♥ Thanks again for the thought.
Have a great rest of the weekend! ♥
