Grateful to have learned to adjust and reset. I injured my knee 10 days ago playing tennis then decided it wasn't too bad and went on my daily run the next day. Well it blew up and now I haven't been able to walk without limping. I couldn't do my daily run, all the work I had done to increase my running time and distance down the drain, and I couldn't play tennis when I'm on 4 league teams. I was angry. I went to bed early and the next day adjusted my plan. I would make an appointment to see the orthopedist, lift weights for upper body work which I could still do, put the tennis on hold or try to play doubles wearing a brace, see the orthopedist, and work with what I have with a positive attitude. No depression, self pity, craving a drink. This has to be the sobriety working.

Grateful for the SR crowd. I’m convinced I would have drank again after a knee injury 2 weeks ago derailed my daily running routine. Instead, I used what I have learned here to adjust & reset.
